I've always loved the focus on simpler beats on this album. Honestly, it future-proofed it, these
tracks still sound hot as shit now. The lyrics, on the other hand, have aged terribly (and were a bit
hamfisted at the time). There's something off about the raps that I can't quite put my finger on,
given that the Beasties were never grade A writers anyway. They're a bit too simple or cheesy.
That being said, there are still some great lines, mostly from Mike D (who owns this album IMO),
and it's hard to hate something so catchy. I will note that the first half is absolutely stacked. |

| Totally underrated record. It kicks off with an absolute killer title track, easily PAWS' best, and then carries on for the rest of the LP in a short and concise form. Hoppus' production is absolutely brilliant, with a crunchy fuzzed out treble and huge deep bass, which works to keep the songs sonically supercharged. My one fault would be that the album loses steam a bit as the songs in the later tracklist start to just repeat the tricks of the first half, but at this length there's not really time to grow weary. | While their previous album was a bit darker and understated, Ugly Duckling here make an album of fun tracks strung together by a loose narrative. While it's no masterpiece, there are no duds on this, and UD's brand of bouncy, old-skool flavoured hip hop is basically unimpeachable if you're into that kind of thing. |

Had reservations going into this, as it's technically a solo album. But honestly I'd say it fits right
