Antonio Vivaldi The Four Seasons
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
With this release Brand New cemented themselves as one of my favorite artists. From the stellar the beginning of the album to the underrated second half, I can find almost no flaws in this. This album truly deserves all of the attention it gets.
Charles Mingus The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
Devin Townsend Ocean Machine: Biomech
Ocean Machine is still my favorite album released by Devin Townsend. From the more upbeat beginning down to the slower, deeper end, This release has everything anyone could ever want from Townsend. Bastard and The Death of Music are somewhere in my top ten songs ever.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor No Title as of 13 Feb 2024 28,340 Dead
Henryk Gorecki Symphony No. 3, Op. 36
John Coltrane A Love Supreme
Judas Priest Painkiller
Justin Bieber Believe
King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
In The Court Of The Crimson King is still one of my favorite progressive releases ever. From the more upbeat 21st Century Schizoid Man to the beauty in Epitaph, King Crimson delivers one of the most, if not the greatest debut album I have ever heard.
Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125
Megadeth Rust In Peace
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Panacea (USA) Ink Is My Drink
Panacea is, in my opinion, the most underrated hip-hop group. Ink Is My Drink was one of the first albums I heard after a long absence of listening to hip-hop. The album starts strong and doesn't falter all the way to the finish. Raw Poetic has one of the greatest voices in hip-hop and some of the best lyrics I have heard. The beats and production are perfect. If you have not heard this album, listen to it now and be amazed.
Pharoah Sanders Karma
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
My favorite release from the greatest progressive group of all time. The album starts with Part One of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, which is one of the most fun, beautiful songs I have ever heard. Next comes Welcome To The Machine, which gives a great feeling of, well, being in a machine. Have A Cigar takes the middle of the album, with some of my favorite lyrics on the album. After that is the title track, Wish You Were Here, which is a slow, but powerful song that seems to be stuck in my head around the clock. The album finishes with Part Two of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, a stellar finish to a flawless album.
Radiohead OK Computer
Radiohead is, without a doubt, one of the greatest alternative/indie bands ever. Ok Computer is, by far, their best release. Paranoid Android is still one of my favorite songs ever. With Ok Computer Radiohead solidified themselves as one of the greatest bands ever. Also I find it pretty cool how the songs combine with In Rainbows, which was released ten years later.
Refused The Shape Of Punk To Come
Refused were one of the first hardcore bands I listened to, so they deserve a special place in my mind. The Shape Of Punk To Come, did what the album title said it would, changed Punk itself. Still one of my favorite albums ever, it revolutionized a genre, and for that, makes it unforgettable.
The Arrogant Sons of Bitches Three Cheers For Disappointment
The Beatles Abbey Road
Wintersun Wintersun
