5.0 classic
Opeth Ghost Reveries
Pink Floyd The Wall
Rush Moving Pictures
While an obvious transition from their progressive sound to one more synth inspired, Rush keeps a fair balance of the two, producing some of their greatest songs in either genre.
Windir 1184

4.5 superb
Alrakis Alpha Eri
The atmosphere created is astounding, and draws the listener into the music. Best listened
to while accompanied by a long slideshow of deep space photos.
Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Aphex Twin Richard D. James Album
Dream Theater Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
A fantastic album that contains all flavors of music that Dream Theater has to offer. This is a good album to use to introduce new listeners to the band.
Dream Theater Awake
The perfect mix of Dream Theater making progressive music, and Dream Theater making metal music. Contains all band members at their finest point, with an exceptional vocal performance by James Labrie.
Emperor Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Iron Maiden Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
Morbid Angel Altars of Madness
Opeth Blackwater Park
Opeth Deliverance
Opeth Damnation
Opeth's attempt at creating a album absent of heavily distorted guitars and death growls is a rousing success.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side Of The Moon
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
Porcupine Tree In Absentia
Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet
Rush Hemispheres
Rush Exit...Stage Left
Slayer Seasons In The Abyss
Tool Lateralus

Dream Theater Train of Thought
Dream Theater Images And Words
Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory
Dream Theater A Change Of Seasons
Dream Theater Systematic Chaos
It's easy to see why this remains a controversial album amongst DT fans, but it nevertheless boasts some great tracks and more of the enjoyable technical wankery the band is known for.
Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn of Events
More Dream Theater magic to be found on this album. The only downsides are the rather uninspired sounding drumming and a ballad too many.
Electric Wizard Dopethrone
Fallujah The Harvest Wombs
Green Day Dookie
Kraftwerk Autobahn
Lamb of God Ashes of the Wake
Lamb of God As the Palaces Burn
Meshuggah Nothing
Meshuggah I
A single 20 minute metal masterpiece that provides the listener with the essence of Meshuggah's music.

3.0 good
Bathory Destroyer of Worlds
Dream Theater Falling Into Infinity
While it contains some excellent songs, the meddling by the record label in Dream Theater's music is evident. On the other hand, Derek Sherinian creates amazing keyboard passages.
Lamb of God Wrath
Meshuggah Contradictions Collapse
Pink Floyd The Final Cut

2.5 average
Bathory Requiem

2.0 poor
Bathory Octagon
Genesis Invisible Touch
Largely dominated by 80's synth-pop, this is a far-cry from the original Genesis sound. The only track I found enjoyable was 'Land of Confusion'.
