| Like a lot of demos in metal, the production is a big factor of influence to new ears. I am no exception. Many a metal demo has simply been disregarded by me purely because of just how raw the sound is. But with this band, you can see that that's what they were aiming for, and it doesn't subtract from this demo hardly at all. The songs are creepy, spine-tingling, and bone-scraping, and given the raspy scratches on the songs, you can feel the atmosphere this demo provides, and it's one of the best i've ever heard; or should I say felt? |

While it makes its mark appropriately in some areas, there are quite a few where this album just makes little to no sense, in the sense of course that that's what Havok was going for. I'll stand alone on this one, and go ahead and say "Burn" was the better album by this band. But even it suffers from similar problems. Just not quite as badly. |

Granted, the vocalist is trying something new here, but thus far, he's probably been the only one to remain solid and consistent in all their albums. So why he would want to change that, i'll never understand. The guitars and the drums all sound average here. Usually, there are at least a couple songs here and there to refuel the bands' excitement. But here, that is just not present. |

| It's easy to see how so quick to evolve Whitechapel really is. Their debut album was solid, it showed inspiration on the members' part. This album on the other hand, doesn't portray those similar traits. Rather, it shows how the bands' reluctance or their desire for a new sound right off the bat confuses them into disregarding the decision as to whether or not they could, instead whether or not they should. In the end, you get a pretty boring album with little to offer. On the other hand, the dual vocalist tihng going on in here does give back a little bit to the overall trite composure. |

| Is this the part where i'm supposed negatively to respond to nearly the entire community around me that says this album rules? Pfft, whatever. I wouldn't be caught dead listening to this album on my own, but for parties as mere background noise? Well, I could tolerate that, because it is just meant to be fun. | As catchy as this was, and as great as this would probably be at a party, or a friendly get-together with some of the lesser developed musical fans, when I look at it personally, it's still just Skrillex combining 50 sounds that on their own, might sound pretty decent, but when thrown together in this small EP, it truly does sound like a disorganized starwars space battle. There is pretty much nothing coherent to find here, as usual with Skrillex productions. |
