5.0 classic
Air Moon Safari
Burial Untrue
Pantha Du Prince This Bliss
Here's a statement that might get me lynched by a Tresor-dwelling purist but Pantha Du Prince is the finest
minimal techno producer ever and This Bliss is his masterpiece.
His main contribution to the hypnotic cascading rhythms that define the genre? A sense of progression, acute
sense of melody and all round taste that elevates the album to seminal status. It's not an original techno
record by any means, but it is the best made so far.

Air Talkie Walkie
Boards of Canada Music Has the Right to Children
Caribou Swim
CunninLynguists Oneirology
Evocative of lower class America in all its lofi glory, this album proves there's life in the old rap game yet
Cynic Traced in Air
King Crimson In the Court of the Crimson King
Mr. Bungle California
Nicolas Jaar Space Is Only Noise
Ott Blumenkraft
This album edges it as the best Ott album purely by virtue of Smoked Glass And Chrome which is, for me, the finest psybient track yet. Not to detract from the rest of the album, nor indeed the mans entire discography which is excellent
Royksopp The Understanding
In which Royksopp distill the very essence of pop music and sprinkle it over the intelligent beats of Melody
AM, leave it to freeze in the Norwegian countryside for atmosphere then serve with a touch of 80s
throwback. The finest dream-pop album ever released.
Sepalcure Sepalcure
A little corner of american somethingstep that is forever england
Sigur Ros Med Sud i Eyrum vid Spilum Endalaust
Simian Mobile Disco Delicacies
The Cinematic Orchestra Ma Fleur
The Knife Silent Shout
Younger Brother A Flock of Bleeps
Zomby Dedication
A fine platter of hors d'oeuvre for fans of the UK "bass" scene. By limiting himself to around two minutes for
the majority of the album, Zomby deftly avoids the ennui that can set in when listening to many other dance
music full lengths.

The album begins with a claustrophobic minimal construction that expands through the Animal Collective-
esque vocal of Things Fall Apart to the more widescreen pianos of Haunted and Basquiat.

The ever-shifting pace, evocative of ambling from room to room in a club, only serves to heighten the
emotional impact of the longer tracks such as Natalia's Song, probably the most emotional electronic track
this side of Untrue.

And just when you start wondering about where the next track will go, the album is done. A superb album
from an extraordinary producer.

Emika Emika
Ford and Lopatin Channel Pressure
James Blake Love What Happened Here
Kryptic Minds Can't Sleep
Perfectly adequate set of deep dubsteppy beats. That's kind of it, no originality here unfortunately. Try Triangulation by Scuba or Eleven Tigers for the same thing with a bit more zing
Ripperton Niwa
For those who like their minimal served with a continental organic flair
Younger Brother Vaccine
Posford plays at being Pink Floyd and doesn't quite get it right
