After the first couple listens I thought of it as a solid album with some great songs, especially the first three are all killer no filler. Unexpectedly though, this album has so many earworm melodies that I just can't help but come back to it. In stark contrast to most post hardcore albums, it actually has longevity. Surprise of the year for me so far

There are different kinds of heavy when it comes to music. Death Metal is obviously heavy, but Manchester Orchestras "Sleeper 1972" is just as much, if not even more so. This is just like that. Heavy.

With 21mins in length, this is definately not an album. Yes, it flows well, Push is as good as always, but I don't hear any standout track. Then Kanye raps about himself, which was definitely not needed. After 3 years of waiting and teasing, I expected more.

If all songs were as good as Dying Light, this would be a 5. Stifled by uninspired harsh vocals and unimaginative breakdowns, this is an album that, apart from that song, is ultimately forgettable.

Very hard to rate. First half are just obnoxious songs. Once the interlude comes along is where it gets interesting, though. After that it's just subdued, atmospheric songs which are all great. First half: 0/5, second half 4/5.
Moodring Showmetherealyou
worshipping at the altar of Deftones to the point where they're basically a cover band (Young Love is the riff from Diamond Eyes, just dumbed down a little). But the new track Empty Me Out shows some promise. Hope they find another tempo to play in though.

Sounds like a watered down version of Trivium. How did they not realise the best parts of In Waves were the heavy parts? Now there are hardly any screams. I feel sorry for Augusto, he has to downplay so hard on this one, I bet he's falling asleep while playing this live.
