Blue October Any Man in America
"Any Man In America" the 6th studio album released by Blue October and definitely one of their best. Lead singer Justin Furstenfeld sends you on a . Furstenfeld is not only an incredible singer, but also an amazing songwriter, and his talents really shine on this release. A combination of grunge, folk, indie rock, blues and straight ahead rock and roll characterize the band's sound, and the combination is perfect. "The Feel Again (Stay)" touches on the deterioration of Furstenfeld's marriage and his separation from his daughter. The fact that you can actually FEEL his pain is a tribute to his ability as a vocalist and artist. The instrumentals add a texture that makes the song a dynamic masterpiece with pure emotion. "The Chills" is an up tempo song that has a catchy melody with hooks that grab you and reel you in. The guitars simply rock, the drums are amazing, and it's just an awesome tune. "The Follow Through" is the perfect song to end out the album. With a beautiful a beautiful start and synths best described as elegant, it brings everything together giving you a sense of closure to the story of Furstenfeld's life. Overall this is a great recoding; the production is crisp and fresh, every song is incredible, and you'll feel as if your soul has been touched. Long time fans of the band will love this, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
