Wow, this is definitely among his best melodic/emotional works ever! It's hard to say which one of the two tracks is my favorite. They are both awesome and very well executed. I'd even say this Pike outclasses "Hold Me Forever".

Last track "Underneath the Arctic" is in a league of its own! The rest is pretty solid too.
Buckethead Thoracic Spine Collapser
This album is pure Buckethead Funk-Metal-Noise "organized chaos" craziness. Best Pike in a while!
Buckethead Live in Bucketheadland
Not really a "live" album. More a re-recording of some Bucket's most famous tracks, probably each done in a single take. Good selection of songs. And probably first ever "official" recording of 'The Embalmer'. Sound quality is great. I'm very happy!

Praxis Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis)
This album is one of my all time favorites. It contains so many different styles of music and still everything fits together perfectly. This is pure creativity! It has nothing to do with those so-called "cross-over" bands who just throw together popular styles of music in the hope that this will make it commercially successful. Buckethead, Bill Laswell, Bootsy, Brain, Bernie Worrell and DJ AF Next Man Flip really created something new and unique here. It is also one of Bucketheads first recordings (and certainly among his most solid ones), which makes it a "must have" for every Buckethead fan. I agree that the last track could have been 5 minutes shorter, but it doesn't take away the awesomeness of the album. Too bad that this album is so hard to get. I hope they will make a re-relase some day...
Praxis Tennessee 2004
Praxis (and especially Buckethead) is one of my favorite bands and with "Transmutation" they have created a masterpiece. Therefore I had big expectations when I got the "Zurich" Live album. Unfortunately that album was a disappointment, because (besides a few pretty good Transmutation tracks) it contains a lot of tracks with nothing but endless and uninspired DJ scratching. Don't get me wrong: I don't mind DJ scratching as long as it contributes to the music (as has been the case on the Transmutation album), but on "Zurich" the DJ-only tracks are simply far too many, far too long and far too boring, making the album hard to listen. Fortunately "Tennessee 2004" (recorded at the Bonnaroo Music Festival) is completely different! Bill Laswell, Bernie Worrell, Brain and especially Buckethead create a great and unique atmosphere here. There is no DJ this time (a good decision) and there are absolutely no "fillers" (except for a lengthy drum solo, that could have been a bit shorter in my opinion). The show starts with "Vertebrae", a great Praxis/Live adoption of Buckethead's "Jordan". There also is a live version of "Night of the Slunk" (from Buckethead's "Monsters and Robots" album). And the "Guitar Virus" track sounds like a fusion of "Big Sur Moon" (Colma) with "Giant Robot". With "Machine Gun" there also is a Jimi Hendrix cover included. The rest of the album mostly consists of jamming, but it simply never gets boring. So if you are looking for a great Praxis Live album, go with "Tennessee 2004" and keep away from "Zurich".

UPDATE:

The "Tennessee 2004" CD is incomplete. But there exists a *complete* recording of the show (PRAXIS 6/11/04 This Tent, Bonnaroo, TN), which is available form the Bonnaroo Live web-site as MP3 or FLAC download! That one contains a lot of tracks that are missing from the "Tennessee 2004" CD. Most important there is a brilliant version of Maggot Brain (feat. Lili Haydn) included, which did not make it onto the CD for an unknown reason. So, if you can, get the download!

So far, this is the best disc of the five 'Buckethead Pikes' albums! The compositions are really weird, but in the positive sense. There is an unexpected turn like every 5 seconds. There is more to discover in this 32 minutes work than in most 60+ minutes albums. Overall this is (yet another) very solid work by Buckethead with a lot of diversity. Maybe it should be mentioned that this time Buckethead also plays the bass and there are more bass-centric tracks than usual. If you don't have any of the Pikes releases yet, get this one first, as it's a must-have!
Buckethead Look Up There
Buckethead Forgotten Library
Another great Pikes release. The solo in "Beginning Putrification" is just awesome! That song alone makes the album worthwhile (http://youtu.be/OWg6PPgAHvA). The rest isn't bad either!
Buckethead View Master
Another very solid Pikes release. Some track are very reminiscent of a "Real Diamond in the Rough". Track #5 is very dark, like DeathCubeK style, but not boring at all. The perfect soundtrack for a horror trip! And track #7 is the highlight (http://youtu.be/l-R1NKzGJvc). Has a very special feeling to me, almost like Mrs Beasley. The other tracks are all well done too, only some are a bit too short, IMO. No filler tracks this time!
Buckethead Spiral Trackway
Got this one as a Limited Edition back then. Listened to it a few times and quite liked it. But then somehow lost track of it. Now that the regular release is available, with track names, artwork and everything, I gave it a few more spins and realized how great this one is. Top-notch from beginning to the end and very unique style. Easily among the best Pikes!
Buckethead Feathers
Buckethead Twisterlend
Buckethead Coat Of Charms
Buckethead Monument Valley
Buckethead Pitch Dark
A very deep and touching album that definitely has a sad and melancholic undertone. Buckethead's mellow side on its best. Until #51 came out, I thought this could have been an appropriate "goodbye" album for the Pikes series.
Buckethead Backwards Chimney
Yet another excellent pike that makes me remember why I love that guy so much!
Buckethead Claymation Courtyard
Buckethead Outpost
Buckethead Hold Me Forever (In memory of my mom)
Buckethead Closed Attractions
Another mellow masterpiece. That's Buckethead at his best. No frills and thrills. Just pure the emotion, like only he can express. If you liked the 6th track on Pike #13 or genrally enjoy his more mellow/emotional works, you will probably love this album...
Buckethead Coaster Coat
Great and well-elaborated Pike. Also very versatile. It starts off with the epic title track, which has melodic shredding in the vein of Claymation Courtyard or The Closed Triptych. It then goes on with a funky bass-driven track (Flying Cat) that simply rocks! And it comes to an end with another beautiful ballad (Coastline). So there's a lot going on in those 30 minutes.
Buckethead Northern Lights
Buckethead Polar Trench
Another excellent Pike. The first track, The Light in the Fog, is a nice melodic/mellow track, that also could have been on the "Passageways" album. After the first track, the album changes its character and goes more into a Hendrix-style direction.

Also, this album is available as a *free download* during the Christmas days. Thanks for a great Christmas present!
Buckethead The Mighty Microscope
Buckethead The Moltrail
Buckethead Wall To Wall Cobwebs

First track is, by far, the weakest. From then on, this Pike is brilliant. Favorite track is "Vehicleof".

Buckethead Washed Away
Buckethead Rooms Of Illusions
Buckethead Screen Door
Buckethead Old Toys
Buckethead Mirror Realms
I totally love "Blue Slide". Such a beautiful composition. A real masterpiece! Probably best individual track of 2016, so far...
Buckethead Buildor
Buckethead Rooftop
"Hexagon" takes a few minutes until it takes off. But when it does, it's just totally mind-blowing! Definitely one of the best "melodic shred" he has done so far! Second track has some interesting ideas too, but doesn't quite keep up.
Buckethead Drift
Another great one with plenty of styles. Intro track starts out very atmospheric with a loot of deep feeling. Then the title track kicks in with that happy "Binge and Grab" vibe! And "Tentaclon" has a dark/electronic sound, only a bit too short for my taste.
Buckethead The Five Blocks
Buckethead Sparks in the Dark
Buckethead Out Orbit
Buckethead Nettle
Buckethead Blank Slate
Very solid pike overall. Six distinct tracks, all very diverse. Mostly with a happy undertone.
Buckethead Echo
Buckethead Poseidon
Despite being broken into 6 tracks, this Pike is pretty much just one consistent composition from the start to the end. While some Pikes of this "kind" lack a bit variation over the time, this one is done very well and each single track is great. Those 30 minutes fly by like nothing. Could also have been called "Pike 65" (Hold Me Forever) Part II.
Buckethead The Squaring of the Circle
Buckethead Fourneau Cosmique
Buckethead Skeleton Keys
Buckethead Through The Looking Garden

This one came quite at a surprise. Easily their best album since the 1990's.

This album is like a mosaic. A collage put together from various short pieces. And I like many of those pieces. Though it's difficult to see the overall picture. Not as consistent as "Monument Valley" or "Pitch Dark", but definitely has a very unique feeling.

Buckethead Bucketheadland 5 13 10 31
This one is more in the vein of "Empty Space" or "Teeter Slaughter" than the original "Bucketheadland" album. There's *no* personnel, except for Big B himself. Running time is ~30 minutes. So, pretty much, "just" another Pike. Decent one though.
Buckethead Guillotine Furnace
Buckethead SIGIL Soundtrack
First track, "Romero One Mind Any Weapon", is the only new track on this release. It's pretty heavy and weird, but still great! The rest of the album consists of "old" Pikes tracks. So, if you followed the Pikes, just get "Romero One Mind Any Weapon"!
Buckethead Healing Inside Outside Every Side
Another nice mellow album, in the vein of Shadows Between the Sky. Artwork apparently by Booboo Stewart.
Buckethead Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot
Buckethead Thought Pond
Buckethead 500 Alchemical Experiments
500 Pike albums is an awesome achievement! First and third track are pure Buckethead weirdness. But second track, "Kikaida", is clearly the highlight here. Best track he's done in quite some time!

Buckethead The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell
Buckethead Cyborg Slunks
Buckethead 3 Foot Clearance
Buckethead The Frankenstein Brothers - Bolt On Neck
Buckethead The Boiling Pond
One of the heaviest Pikes releases so far. If you like the heavy stuff like "Cuckoo Clocks of Hell" or "Island of Lost Minds" you will probably love this one. Some of the tracks have awesome riffs. Others are a bit too repetitive for my taste, especially towards the end of the album.
Buckethead The Spirit Winds
Basically one long track that of 25 minutes. The rest are a few short snippets. The "main" track pretty mellow and like how it goes on and on. Almost a bit hypnotic. But some more diversification wouldn't have hurt, I think.
Buckethead Telescape
Buckethead Sphere Facade
Buckethead Worms for the Garden
This Pike consists of the title track, which is almost 19 minutes long, and a few shorter pieces. The title track is very reminiscent of the "The Rising Sun" single. Overall a solid release, but it sounds overly familiar too me...

Buckethead In Dreamland
Nice mellow pike with the typical mix of acoustic and electric guitar. Nothing extraordinary he hasn't done before, though.
Buckethead Ghouls Of The Graves
Buckethead Robes of Citrine
Buckethead Language of the Mosaics
This one has a great blend of crazy shredding an melodic parts! Easily the best Pike in quite a while. Only the "clipped" bass is bit annoying. Anyways, at least he is back to full shredding powers again !!!
Buckethead Veins Of Institution
Buckethead joining with Madeline (vocals) is definitely a very welcome change from his usual Pikes! Not a fan of all tracks (first two tracks, IMO, are the weakest), but there's some pretty nice stuff on here. Especially "One Man Party" (final track) is an excellent song with great chemistry!
Die Aerzte Geräusch
Many excellent songs on this double album (Unrockbar, Deine Schuld (!), Nichts in der Welt, Nicht allein), but also quite some weaker "filler" tracks. IMHO, this could have been a superb album had they put the best songs on one CD.
Muse Black Holes & Revelations
Opeth Orchid
Perkele Perkele Forever
Pieces I Need 5 Minutes Alone
This album is kind of a mixed experience. It has two absolute must-have Buckethead classics: "Twice With The Sledge" (one of hist best acoustic works) and "Hazelnut Cream Pie" (a great tribute to Eddie Hazel). These alone make the album worthwhile! Unfortunately the rest of the album is very different. It's mostly simple "electronica" beats with repetitive guitar shredding. Somehow most of the tracks (except for the two mentioned at the beginning) sound like a "low quality" production - intentionally or not. Oh, and there also are two rare tracks with Buckethead (aka "Herbie") singing. And now we know why he usually doesn't sing...
Praxis Sound Virus
This is pretty much a live performance of the "Metatron" and "Sacrifist" albums. If you like that heavy/chaotic side of Praxis, then you will like this live album too. But if you are more into the funky/mellow side of Praxis (like the "Transmutation" album), you might want to check out the samples online, before you buy this one. You won't get any Transmutation or Profanation stuff here! Overall I think this is an okay album for what it is, but if you already have the "Metatron" and "Sacrifist" albums, there in not much new to discover here - most songs are reproduced "1:1". It doesn't get anywhere close to the excellent "Tennessee 2004" live album.

3.0 good
Buckethead Bucketheadland 2
Buckethead Propellar
This one is not too bad. Tracks #1 to #4 are really good. But Track #5 really isn't THAT great. Would have been okay as 3 minutes title. But 12 minutes is tool long for that one - considering it fills about 50% of the entire album! Track #6 is a bit DeathCubeK style. Could have been a great album with track #5 shorter and 2 or 3 more good songs added.
Buckethead Thaw
Buckethead Hide In The Pickling Jar
This one is quite bluesy and definitely has some interesting ideas. Especially the beginning of "Countersunk" is great. But unfortunately the songs don't go anywhere. One of those albums where you have the feeling that it could have been a really great one, if he only had taken the time to finish up the compositions...

Buckethead The Mark Of Davis
I have to say this probably is the weakest Pikes release, so far. Or I just don't get the point. Track #5 on the 12th Pikes disc wasn't THAT great (and much too long). Here we have that very same track again - with some improvisations added on top of it. But while the 12th Pikes also had some great tracks, the 14th Pikes just feels like a filler...
