5.0 classic
Death Cab for Cutie Transatlanticism
This is one of the records that I think everyone should be forced to listen to before they die. These songs transcend organized strings of notes and become something more; something that feels honest, true, and beautiful. Death Cab's best release.

Hot Water Music Caution
I Have Dreams Three Days 'Til Christmas
I can't explain exactly what makes this record as great as I think it is. The whiny vocals sound about as cliche as they get, and breakdowns are frequent. The latter feature is usually something that would turn me off completely, but something about this band/album manages to turn breakdowns into a truly emotional and honest sounding phenomenon. This album radiates the truth of feeling that it comes from. A well put together record despite the shit production and (what I would USUALLY) call cheesy characteristics.
Jawbreaker Dear You
Kodan Armada A Collection Of Songs
Owls Owls
Waxwing For Madmen Only
For me this album represents the perfect mixture of an amazing voice, fantastic guitar work, and a beautiful mood. There is very little I would change about this record.

Death Cab for Cutie We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes

Some of the most evil sounded 'stoner' music I've heard. This sounds like doom, not the band or the genre, but the feeling you would have if Satan showed up at the foot of your bed and was ripping your sisters head off.

Brand New Daisy
Death Cab for Cutie You Can Play These Songs With Chords
Worth listening if you're a Death Cab die hard. That being said, something about airplanes has a good number of the same tracks only done better. Certainly not their best and not where to start but there's still some merit.
Death Cab for Cutie Narrow Stairs
Discharge Why
When I listen to this album I don't like it. It feels over-politicized and lacking any true feeling. Furthermore I've developed a prejudice seeing as this is the anthem for every rich want to be crust kid there is. However one has to respect how much of a classic this is. An album that must be sat through at least once or twice but definitely not for me.
