4.0 excellent
Rodney Crowell Sex and Gasoline
Good rock 'n' roll, as well as very emotional and intimate ballads. Well performed. Very fine lyrics. Only the recording quality of the vocal tends to be a bit poor.

3.5 great
hooyoosay In dekay
Quite interesting cover-versions of early Rolling Stones recordings, in a variety of styles.rSome (harmonica-)blues ("I want to be loved", "I can't be satisfied"), some rockers ("I'm movin' on", "Hitch hike"), some acoustic ("Sittin' on a fence", "Play with fire"), some rock and roll ("Bye bye Johnny", "Talkin' 'bout you").rSome strongly reminding of their originals ("The last time", "Not fade away"), but others very personal and even stronger in revealing the songs' pop potentials ("Connection", "All sold out").rMost remarkable is the unplugged version of "Grown up wrong", showing how a steady rocker can also work as an acoustic ballad. r
