The quintessence of SoCal skate/pop-punk, and with it's riff-ladden awesomeness it's probably teh Wagons best album, and definitely one of Fat Wrecks best releases. Each and every song is a classic, and I just love it. It defines a lot of my musical tastes.
Protest the Hero Kezia
It's a cohesive concept album, and that alone is uncommon enough for this to warrant the praise it's been given. Add to that the blistering awesomeness of each and every instrument on here, and just the idea of writing an album you know you can't play, just to sit down and learn it and record it with and almost unparallelled result. Awe-inspiring.

The quintessential 90's punk album from the 00's. Thoroughly enjoyable, well-rounded, as-close-to-flawless-as-they-come, etc. etc. Review coming.

Quite possibly one of the best metalcore albums ever, due to some rarely seen qualities;
*They actually blend metal and hardcore into a functioning unity.
*They push the boundaries of each genre by introducing more texture and atmosphere than one would expect.
*All instruments are excellently played.
*The album ties together perfectly without for that sake being repetative.
They take what bands like fordirelifesake and Shai Hulud have been doing, and do it so much better than anyone. Anyone into "heavy" music should listen to this.

EP really brings it. Downsides; "Fun Time" could've been about 30% faster, the production isn't their best, and it's 'just' an EP. But "Bulletproof Tiger" is one of their best songs, and you can see a positive development in general, most probably thanks to the brilliant new members (not that the old ones were morons or anything). I love this band to death.

Great atmospheric metalcore, skilfully employing the dynamics of sung, spoken and screamed vocals as well as musical dynamics of harder and softer parts. Like a mix between Isis and Converge.

Circle Takes the Square As the Roots Undo
This is one of my favourite emo/screamo albums - the epic feel and the emotional release of it really makes it the epitome of modern emo, at least to me. Frantic, grinding, tempo-shifting parts mixed with ambiently ominous build-ups, multi-layered vocals over a braod spectrum of styles - all in all, it's basically the recipe of good emo.
The only things that drag it down for me is its pretentiousness and the somewhat lackluster production (both in the flat sound and in the occasional untightness), although that's probbaly my untrue-emo-head side popping its head in.

A Wilhelm Scream Diver
Abominable Putridity In The End Of Human Existence
No one can accuse this of being progressive music. Not even original music. Hardly even discernable from other bands of this type. However, they know their trade - seldom will you find music this unrelenting and brutal. Often stays in expected slam death mid-tempo, with occasional blasts, none of the instruments really impress with virtuosity - they don't exactly dissappoint either, but do a good job obliterating eardrums with brutality - save the vocalist, who takes the word "guttural" to new lows. Absolutely sickening, like a mutated frog someone stepped on. And I mean that in the best possible way. Extra, extra credit for brutality.
Back on the Streets Blood Brothers
Well-written and well-played mix between power metal and melodic hardcore, crippled only by poor production (but good for being a zero-budget deal) and inconsistant vocals (that range from being really fitting to being downright horrible). Great first effort from a band that I'm sure will produce wonderous things!

A solid, short EP - noticable more emphasis on the "hardcore" portion of their melodic hardcore style. The production is quite lacking, and the nagging feeling that you know these guys can do so much better drags this down a bit though.
