5.0 classic
Burzum Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Green Day American Idiot
This and Dookie are by far the two best albums in my opinion. Some fans from the dookie era may say otherwise because its different but to me and to mainstream radio etc. this album was their second biggest sucess and one of my favourite albums of all time. The way the songs tie together in a story line is very unique and i also love how all the songs are 'different' and never rip off anything.
HIM Venus Doom
The best album in my opinion. The sound was anti pop and dark and gloomy. Reminding me of Type o Negative. Lindes solos are shown and his excellence as a guitarist fully shines. Valos vocals are also nothing compared to previous albums. I dont find anything wrong with this album except wishing song or suicide wasnt so short.
Mr. Bungle Mr. Bungle

4.5 superb
Blue October Any Man in America
This album is just as or more emotional than previous albums. Furstenfeld went out on a limb to put the rap element into this album, and it certainley worked. The song AMIA.. does sound a little cheesy but its certainly more words from the heart than to be a musical piece. Other songs nothing less than a 4.5.... This may be one of the best by this band, and that may be due to being on their own label and having that freedom to explore
Creed My Own Prison
Mr. Bungle California
Mr. Bungle OU818
I prefer this demo over the others. It holds clearest sound and also features my personal favourite song Mr. Nice guy.
Unexpect Fables of the Sleepless Empire
I was worried theyd come back after so long and this be like a "chinese democracy" but they stepped up past Flesh and pulled things together tighter while sticking to chaotic roots. Everything is killer and i love the blend of clean and growling vocals

4.0 excellent
Anathema Weather Systems
Avenged Sevenfold Nightmare
Positive: Shadows vocals were killer and this in my opinion beat out COE and the self titled. Shadows tried mixing screaming in God Hates Us and certainly made it work. Pushing the boundry into death metal. Another positive is the mellowed out work of so far away, tonight the world dies, and victim. As well as the emotion behind it. Mike did an excellent job filling in as well. The album is very balenced.rNegative: Guitar work at times was unoriginal and was deeply dissapointed. Syn went from in early work being emotional in it like slash....to attempting to do idk what by sweeping and doing stuff like alexi laiho. I like COB but syn does not need to go in that direction. Another negative is the cheesyness of the song nightmare and how unfit it was for a single in my opinion. Welcome to the family and so far away were the shouldve been hits.
In Flames Sounds of a Playground Fading
I found in this album, the single track is certainly the most radio friendly "mainstream" type stuff they've done. Yet it still retains the "in flames" sound and not falter like other bands do over time. The guitar work throughout the album is superb in the absence of Jesper. Anders did do a much better job vocally as mentioned before. The downside on this album is certain songs seem to be just filler...such as enter tragedy. They did nothing progressive there. Besides that my personal favourite off this would be Liberation. The almost ballad of the album, it gives off a certain emotion to me and i assume Anders for the reason of writing a more depressive song.
Rosaline The Vitality Theory
I had never gotten into these "post hardcore" type of bands because i found every time i tried they all sounded the same. I had stuck to A7X, Three days grace, and that type of music. However after getting an invite on Facebook from Nathan of Rosaline i decided to check them out. Hearing The Messenger infinite i was genuinely impressed. It was very original and remains my favourite to this day. Now onto this album. The rest of the songs are killer. They know what theyre doing for once. They really take time to put this together and craft it to make it this excellent. Im not a fan of all the screaming however its still amazing and i wish they would've remained together.

3.5 great
Breathe Carolina Hell Is What You Make It
Certainly different from Hello Fascination. In some ways an improvment but i also miss it. Laurens song is standout to me. I can feel the sorrow behind it. Also i like the dubstep feel than many songs on this album have.
Daniel Lioneye Vol. II
I thought for Linde exploring into death metal this album came out great. The sound is very original and its a very intense feeling..like a brick all coming at you with the mixing of it. Maybe at times too much. I prefer this over the earlier album by far. Linde needs to do more of this stuff.
Lauri Ylonen New World

3.0 good
Breathe Carolina Hello Fascination
Creed Full Circle
Skrillex More Monsters and Sprites
This is something you wait a few years to release in a full album of songs like it. This is a completely different genre but it would be similar to HIM's uneasy listening album the released years after that included dozens of tracks. Thats how to do it. The songs are still amazing even though only 2 are new.

2.5 average
Falling in Reverse The Drug in Me Is You
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
The only two songs that seemed original to me were viva la gloria and 21 guns. Those two songs are decent and id give them a 4. However the rest of this album isn't anything to be proud of. It sounds like nothing all that new or interesting. A bitter dissapointment to me since American Idiot is one of my favourite albums of all time. Every album follow up before this had some aspect of furthering their sound. This album they didn't.
HIM Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice
Positive: Valos vocals are as amazing as ever, and the songwriting itself is great. just as in earlier albums. The songs tend to be more catchy in this album which can go either way but on Scared to Death it was amazing. rNegative: What happened to Lindes solos? Its like a completly different guitarist is in the band. There was a space valo couldnt pull off in Lindes absence that seemed to hurt this album. Another thing is it went way to poppy. It wasnt anything compared to their other albums and is their worst to date. There best was Venus Doom in my opinion.
Trivium In Waves

2.0 poor
Arch Enemy Khaos Legions
I also agree on the fact this album has nothing new to it. Its very boring and uncreative. Its just reused stuff from before. This band still has potential but they need original ideas next time.
Queensryche Dedicated To Chaos
I give this 2 instead of 1.5 or a 1 just because "hotspot" junkie made me laugh uncontrollabley at th cheesyness and failed attempts of this band to sound modern. They do sound modern however to their "core" fanbase who lives in the eighties without internet, but anyhow the worst part of this for me were the dull as nail vocals that never fit in anywhere on this album. Id rather have a band release replicas of earlier albums than do what these guys did and utterly embarass themselves trying to be "cutting edge" The songs did provide a good laugh though at least, that was the best part.

1.5 very poor
Avenged Sevenfold 2000 Demo
yes this was nothing to be proud of.... shadows wasnt shadows yet he was still a kid, thank god by STST they actually did an amazing job crafting songs. These demos.....terrible, but the roots are there.
Black Veil Brides Set the World on Fire
Completely dissapointed, I got into this band as well before the emos and enjoyed them still until i noticed a couple songs off WSTW were really unoriginal and filler. Most others were good though like morticians daughter, we stitch these wounds,. however this album lacks any originiality whatsoever. Andys voice is boring unless he thinks before he makes a song and uses it in an exciting way. This album made me hate this band and what its become. Jake is an amazing guitarist however and the most talented member of BVB by far. This band did everything to keep grabbing scene kids attention.
Lovex Watch Out!
I was completely dissapointed in this album. The previous album Divine Insanity is one of my favourite albums of all time. They entirely changed their sound to an extremely poppy feel. The "dark" elements they carried before that got me addicted to this band are gone. The song and video for slave for the glory are completely cheesy. The only song i found interesting off this album was marble walls.
