Styx The Grand Illusion
This is a very bombast album by Styx. This is still one of their best.

The album opens up with the title track, which is probably the most pogressive song on the album.

A great highlight of the album is Miss America, a powerful rocker featuring a lot of Dennis De Young's singing.

Man in the Wilderness is a slower piece, but erupts into a great rock song with the solo.

Superstars is the olny song I kinda didn't like, kinda boring filler with not much to talk about. Listen to it and tell me what you think.

Castle Walls is pretty rad, reminding me of Halloween and medieval ages.

Overall, this is one of my favorites by Styx, and should be listtene o by Styx veterans or fans of the great AOR genre. I like it, and so should you.

4 out of 5 stars.

Enough said.

Yes 90125
I will NEVER forgive Yes for such a bad and deliberately attention-gaining record.
In this album, Yes just wants to gain popularity and it bothers me. Anyway, for the review:

Owner of a Lonely Heart kicks off the album with a DJ-type moment, a popular move for hip-hop stars, yet Yes was supposed to be prog!

Why the hell did Cinema get a Grammy for instrumentals?! C'mon guys, listen to La Villa Strangiato!

Changes actually was not too bad, but still doesn't exactly capture the prowess of Yes' earlier albums.

Hearts was only a half heart attempt to go back to prog. I guess these guys just can't do crap anymore.

etc.

So, altogether, I really didn't like the new Yes, but I know that there are people who do, even some prog fans suprisingly! It just isn't my taste in music, though. I mostly like classic Yes, and this was not it, guys!
