I have been following Fire In The Skies for a few years now. The first time I saw them they were known as "And Embers Rise". That was about 2 years ago in Nephi, UT. They released their E.P "Fire In The Skies" in 2010. I picked up that E.P and loved every second of it. It was an awesome E.P. and they were my favorite band around at the time. Eventually they would fade a little. They did not come around for quite a long time. During that time they have had member changes. Then they started working on their full length album "What Have We Become". I heard the first single off "What Have We Become" and was way suprised! The song's name was "Echo" and it blew me off my feet. It was an awesome song! They had changed so much and gained so much. I kept thinking to myself "I can't wait for this full length to come out!". It turned out my band For Their Glory had an upcoming show with Fire In The Skies in Spanish Fork, UT. Sometime in the night I picked up the full length. I remember listening to it on the way back to Nephi. The album was AWESOME! The first track "What Have We Become" was a song that instantly got you hooked on the album! The next day on a 3 hour drive we listened to the entire album. Every second of the album was great! I highly recommend Fire In The Skies's album "What Have We Become" to anyone who loves hard hitting Metalcore, but also loves the brutal things put out in heavier genre's. The tracks I highly recommend are... "What Have We Become", "Rondo In A#", "Echo", "Departure", and "In Rhetoric". Those are a few of my personal favorites, but every song on the album is great!
