It took a very long time, but this record suddenly clicked with me recently, and now I can't stop
listening to it. There are flaws, namely the weak production and sometimes uninteresting
instrumentation, but the songs here are incredibly thoughtful. The lyrics are even smarter than on
Leavetaking, the hooks are sharper, and the songs are tight and well-crafted. Such a shame this
band never caught on. |
