Josh works. This is a new band with a new sound that meshes in perfectly to the Chili Peppers catalogue. Yes there is the lack of pop/slap bass riffs, but Flea compensates. Anthony soars on this one. It feels like John was dominating everyone on previous albums. Thank God it's not about him any more, it's about the band. And they can't stay the same forever, so stop crying and get used to change. They're 50, not 30, so don't expect BSSM. In my opinion, the album doesn't have a dull moment.
