Black Rebel Motorcycle Club B.R.M.C.
An intoxicating mix of shoegazer psychedlics and Jesus & Mary Chain's fuzzed out guitars, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's debut is everything that rock was missing around the turn of the millenium. The band all sounds very British for a California threesome, but it's likely that is just a product of listening to too many Creation records. It's an interesting listen and well worth your time especially if you liked anything about alternative rock in late 80s or early 90s britain.

4.0 excellent
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Baby 81
I've been a fan of this fan for a few years now, and I can safely say this is probably their best effort since their debut. They've combined the American folk influences from "Howl" and the JAMC/shoegazer influences from their debut to form "Baby 81". The opening track even sounds like Sonic Youth at times. Their sense of songcraft has improved as well, in fact, this is probably their most accessible album to date.
"Weapon of Choice", "All You Do is Talk" and "Need Some Air" are the albums best tracks. If your looking to get into this band then this is the album to get as they span their entire career through this one album.

Ghost Hotel Do You Feel It ?
Good catchy songwriting all around. Lots of sweet vocal harmonies with boy/girl dynamics. The guitar hooks are mostly interesting. Everything's well developed for a new band. There's elements of 80s new wave, Neutral Milk Hotel style folk ballads, a little Cure, a little Smiths, but never feels old or dated.
