I think when all is said and done this album will be my vote for best album of the year. Tera Melos Drugs to the Dear YouthThis album demonstrates that there can be a working relationship between musical prowess and emotional expression. In accomplishing this feat, Tera Melos has constructed a template that will surely be referenced by progressive musicians in the future. The Fall of Troy DoppelgangerThe Fall of Troy Phantom on the HorizonThe Number Twelve Looks Like You MongrelThe Number Twelve Looks Like You Worse Than AloneI wanted this album to be Mongrel part II so badly. What I got was a more mature effort, that actually made me begin questioning the efficacy of Mongrel as The Number 12's masterpiece. Worse Than Alone is just as musically brilliant in its technicality and structure as Mongrel, but what really sets it apart are the performances by Jon Karel and Alex Pareja. These two should have received more credit for their expertise while The Number 12 was still around. It is shame we will never know what this band would have progressed into.
