James Newton Howard Lady in the Water
James Newton Howard The Village
John Powell How to Train Your Dragon
John Williams Star Wars, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
John Williams The War of the Worlds
Not particularly melodic or pleasant to the ear, but as far as it intellectually and effectively serves the film, works excellently. Piercing the discord are scattered moments of ethereal beauty that are enhanced by the ugliness and tension surrounding them.
John Williams Lincoln
John Williams Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Junkie XL Mad Max: Fury Road
M83 Oblivion (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
At times not the most original of works, but the epic scope and tone of the entire piece, coupled with individual incredible moments, makes for a worthy soundtrack.
Needtobreathe The Heat
Pillar The Reckoning
Terribly underrated album- Pillar's most diverse and lyrically sound album.

Pillar Confessions
My personal favorite Pillar album; though nothing too groundbreaking, Rob's voice is at it's best, production is flawless, and it is simply solid rock music from "Whatever It Takes" to "You Are Not The End"r"Fire On The Inside" is the one track that keep the album from being a 4.5
Red (USA) Until We Have Faces
Musicianship has improved, drums especially, and Red finally gets the mainstream appeal they deserve. However, it lacks much of the punch and originality of I&I. Parts of the album fall into generic made for radio formulas, which gains the band popularity and airtime but degrades the artistic merit.
Sabaton Primo Victoria
Sabaton Coat of Arms

Wavorly Conquering the Fear of Flight

3.0 good
Breaking Benjamin We Are Not Alone
Daft Punk Tron Legacy: Reconfigured
Dead By Sunrise Out of Ashes
Decyfer Down Crash
Sure it's kinda generic, but it's generic done right... can't wait to see where this band goes in the future, because they know how to craft a good rocker

Red (USA) Release the Panic
Red (USA) Release the Panic: Recalibrated
The recalibrated versions mostly are improvements upon their originals. However, the difference is so minimal that it simply reveals what was known before: these songs from "Release the Panic" are simply subpar, with or without strings. "Run and Escape" is at least a decent rocker, and the new intro to "Damage" is pretty rocking, but otherwise this is a pretty unnecessary release. The new version of "As You Go" sucks away the original song's best aspect: its eery atmospheric nature.

Steve Jablonsky Transformers: Dark of the Moon - The Score
With borderline plagiarism galore and astonishingly cliche themes and orchestrations, "Dark of the Moon" showcases the worst tendency of RC/Zimmer-clone scoring techniques.
