The reviewer is on to something when he notices that the next album will be an opus of sorts. A 5 is on the horizon because it is clear that progress is made with each new release. rThe core sound of the album is not unique, but is unique to hip-hop integration. And here is the rub. As far as noise, industrial, ambient, and post-whatever goes, the sound is in among the upper tier. And, it is for this reason, that those who follow K.'s releases, get the sense that a more mature voice and sound has yet to emerge. rBut, that being said, and now with this show of sonic technical skill and rage against the listener out of the way, the next effort will hopefully prove to include more depth emotional tones that will be an answer to the aftermath of the apocalyptic soundscapes of Sana. After bouts of frenetic pacing and destruction, hopelessness, and the "sound of confusion," K. needs the sound of a glorious and somber sunset falling on the heaps of "dead baby heads" left behind, glimpsing at the deep feelings of remorse and loss. You can hear it happening on this album once and a while but remains far off...which seems a necessary journey.
