| This is an overall good funky R&B album that reminds me of N.E.R.D. But i'd really like to recommend that you see this band live. I had only listened to a few songs on their myspace page before i saw them live and i thought they were ok. But then i saw them play and it all changed in my mind. That is where they really shine. Live they bring to mind the old funk great of the 1970s, choreographed dancing, large group vocal sections, they really get the audience into the music. At the concert i was at there were punk kids, indie rockers, death metal heads, all sorts of people and every single person in the place was shakin' their booties. It was quite the sight to see a long head metal head dancing funky next to a prissy preppy girl doing the same. Highly recommend them live. Plus the guys in the band are very friendly and approachable people. I talked to the guitarist for about a half an hour about the bands future plans for touring and albums. |
