Blue Mask Barefoot In A Burning City
Blue Mask
Blue Mask had potential. There album Barefoot in a Burning City was very impressive, considering how old the members were when recorded..
The drummer was sixteen when "Barefoot" was released, Including the guitarist (who wrote all the music for the album). The vocalist was eighteen and the bass player was twenty. They were some of the most talented kids in Boise, Idaho at the time. They have created something that is very unique and very abstract with this album, but still very edible. Blue Mask was formed in 2006 by Miles Fuller (guitarist), Taylor Roark (percussion), and Daniel Shively (vocals). "With Barefoot in a Burning City i feel like i am being led on by some chick that i know i could see a future with.. but can't seem to drop my balls in order to talk to her, so she eventually leaves". Blue Mask was definitely about they're live performance and what they had in store for the next album, which was finally something they felt very proud of. "Too bad they never got the chance to record it". Barefoot in a Burning City was recorded by Jacob Anderson and produced by Blue Mask, and is definitely an album that you should at least check out... www.myspace.com/bluemaskmusic
Botch Unifying Themes Redux
Botch American Nervoso
Castor Tracking Sounds Alone
I think the vocals sound really unique and they have a low-fi essence to them. I also really like how all the music and vibe flow very well through out the album.. it's a really good one. wish they would've released another one. if you like sunny day or like pinback vibe but with a bear vs shark energy. idk hard to explain. ha
