A little reminder that while Radiohead were jumping headfirst into abstract and at times shapeless music (see most of Amnesiac) they could still play their guitars (Cuttooth) be optimistic (Worrywort) and carve out beautiful building songs (Fog, a beautiful live version can be found on Com Lag).

Thom spent days figuring out which order to put the songs in for OK Computer.rIt sounds like he spent 10 minutes with this. Awesome songs, but wrong order in my opinion. First half is all frantic, beat oriented songs, and the far superior second half is classic beautiful Radiohead. It just doesn't make that much sense. It could have been at least as good as In Rainbows.

I have to say it's one of the most boring albums I've ever listened to. And this is the band (guy?) that's supposed to break down musical barriers and give us something completely new and exciting: my personally crazy gorillaz faves are sound check, dirty harry, and empire ants, all completely unique. The only tracks I really enjoyed were Revolving Doors and Amarillo. I hope a true follow up for plastic beach will come soon.
