5.0 classic
Chicago Chicago Transit Authority
Much like Ballin' Jack, but jazzier. Even not two, but three singers here, and the virtuosity is significant. Much better than what they became later (though that's great as well). Jimi Hendrix was a great fan of Terry Kath's playing. That says something.

4.5 superb
Ballin' Jack Ballin' Jack
An awesome mix of funk and jazz-fusion, good social-oriented lyrics. The times when the trumpeter/singer Jim Walters was still with the band.

3.5 great
Ballin' Jack Buzzard Luck
Worse than their debut, still has great moments, like So Do I, Come 'Round Here or Country Pine. Less of the social lyrics. Still very soulful.
