4.5 superb
Iron Maiden Somewhere In Time
Maiden at it's best, peaked, invincible... little less can one say to add up what this album is, truly a masterpiece and as you might have guessed by now my favourite within their catalog. Up the irons.
Pink Floyd The Division Bell
This is the album that really got me into pink floyd. My dad hates my guts for saying this but IMO this is their best work ever. Yes, heathen, sacrilege whatever, but this album was the first time I sat down to try to get what PF was all about. brings fond memories and it all works so well... Amongst my favourite albums of the 1000+ I have no doubt top 10. Just love it.
Sieges Even The Art of Navigating by the Stars

4.0 excellent
Def Leppard Hysteria
Sharon Van Etten Tramp
Shearwater Animal Joy
Silversun Pickups Swoon
Simple Minds Graffiti Soul
The album itself might not be a 4.5, however being such a fan o simple minds I was totally blown away by this album. Black and white was a great album but this one ranks amongst their best ever. Surely I do like a lot Good news from the next world which was pretty much bashed still without the two "bonus" cuts it would have been a killer 8 song album and perhaps their best record ever. It awes me to hear black and white and this one... why couldn't U2 stay this good and consistent?!
The Smashing Pumpkins Adore
A different mood from the band but still awesome SP. Jimmy's trademark drums are missed a bit, but given the experimentation done on the album they manage to pull it off. Adore is just a classic cut from the band's catalog.

3.5 great
Candlebox Love Stories And Other Musings
Simple Minds Street Fighting Years
I just love it when a band lays it all on the line... yes it is a political album, but is that really a bad thing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion even a band. Musically the band is at their peak, a little less arena rock a little more laid back, cuts like street fighting years, take a step back, soul crying out, this is your land and a great cover of Peter Gabriel's biko make this album a winner in my collection.
Simple Minds Once Upon a Time
A classic no doubt about it a lot of people did not like the transition from new wave and avant-garde rock to arena rock, even if the transition started two albums before this one. I just feel everything gelled in this one... but the best part of the album was just how the song grew and mutated live, it was just awesome, Oh Jungleland, Alive and kicking and all the things she said just shine live!
