This Album surprised me. ALOT.
BMTH’s 3rd album starts off amazing, the songs crucify me, and It Never Ends really appeal to me, and Crucify Me makes for an excellent opener to the album.
The first 5 songs are loads better than Suicide Season, and this album feels very natural from oli and the guys, and i was just wondering…WHERE THE HELL WAS THIS 2 YEARS AGO???? i also really like ***. and Don’t Go. *** is a genius song with all the slower stuff. and don’t go is like a ballad with oli’s screams, just put it up to your own interpretation.
sadly this is where the album settles into a gamut of mediocrity
Home Sweet Hole is alright, its a typical BMTH song with everyone else saying “HOME SWEET HOLE” i dont really like alligator blood and blacklist… they’re just meh. visions was good, but nowhere near the first five songs in quality.
the next song is “Memorial” which is just a 3 minute intro to the next song, “Blessed With A Curse”, which is another decent slower song. they do the best thing they could with oli’s voice… turned it down. and there are some really nice bluesy guitar solos in here, i must reiterate, WHERE WAS THIS 2 YEARS AGO???? and the album ends with a 1 and a half minute typical BMTH song, “The Fox And The Wolf”.
this album starts off excellent, settles into mediocrity, and then pulls off a little dissapointing finish. this album isn’t exactly great, but BMTH is on the right track to doing something good.
