Pearl Jam Ten
Pink Floyd Animals
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
Pink Floyd The Wall
Pink Floyd Pulse — The Film
Porcupine Tree In Absentia
Porcupine Tree Anesthetize
Small 5 rating. Only reason for "only" a small 5 is that the setlist is not near perfect. Allright setlist but not the best. But the tunes that they play are so damn good. Almost every track is near perfection. Love this album.

David Bowie "Heroes"
David Bowie BBC Radio Theatre: London June 27, 2000
Very, very strong live album from Bowie. The set list is great and spands most of his career. The performance is much like how a "Scary Monster Tour" could have sounded like. In other words a rich layered musis with rock/hard rock in the center and krautrock, electronica, funk, pop, prog, disco and avantagarde music around that. Very strong performances. The guitar is strong and rocky.
David Gilmour Remember That Night (Video)
David Gilmour Live in Gdansk
Gilmour is on fire on this album. Not all - but most - off the Pink Floyd are very very good versions. Pompeii's version of Echoes is classic. But this really is even better. Fantastic live albums. Only reason for not giving it a 5 rating is the Gilmours songs from On an Island that are okay good but near as strong af the PF-songs.
Derek and the Dominos Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs
Devin Townsend Terria
Dire Straits Alchemy: Dire Straits Live
One of the best live albums of the 80. And some of their best tunes are on it. Classic album.

Basicly I onli know In Court With the Crimson King, In the Wake of Poseidon and Red og KC?many albums: So where were a lot of songs on this live album I didn't knew. Despite that I liked almost every song on this album and the live music were beyound great. Super live album. Fripp so good.
Kingston Wall Kingston Wall II
Madrugada Nightly disease
Dont know why this is a low(er) rating album from Madrugada. For me it is their best album. Their debut album have better songs and their latest album maybe have thier best music. But this one isent far behind either and the combo makes it the best.
Madrugada Live at Tralfamadore
Madrugada is a band who play even better live than on their studio albums. This album shows that. The Musicians (and singer) in the band show how very talented they were (the guitarist is now dead and the band has split up 2 years ago).rMadrugada is best described asrMusic with deep roots in The Doors, The Gun Club, REM, Chris Isaak, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen combined with everything good you can find i indie music and alt rock.rOnly one "good" song on the album......the rest is very good or better.
Metallica Ride the Lightning
Neil Young Rust Never Sleeps
Neil Young Tonight's the Night
Neil Young After the Gold Rush
Neil Young On the Beach
Neil Young Sleeps with Angels
Most be Youngs most underrated album. The 3 last tunes is not that great (medium). But the rest of album is very, very, very strong. And then a rare thing: On this album Young both sound like him self and contemporary (album from 1994). Young was contemporary in the 70s. But doing the 80s and 90s he sound dated (of cause almost old legends sound dated the newer the material are). But not on this album. It have a very alt. rock/grunge sound to it that really fit the album.rAnd leaving the last 3 songs for them selves, then the rest of the album have great songes on it.
Nick Drake Pink Moon
No-Man Together We're Stranger
Oceansize Frames
Opeth Damnation
Ozric Tentacles Jurassic Shift
Amazing. Sound almost like nothing else I've listen to before. Psychedelic - yes. Space rock - yes. But also electronica, 80's british underground and dance rhythms. Very good. Very interesting.
Phideaux Doomsday Afternoon
Their second best album so far (only behind "Number Seven"). Great inspirations from the old classics (Genesis, Van Der Graff Generator, Yes, Jethro Tull) over say Oldfield and to more modern indie/alt rock.
Phideaux Number Seven
Their best album so far. Great inspirations from the old classics (Genesis, Van Der Graff Generator, Yes, Jethro Tull) over say Oldfield and to more modern indie/alt rock.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon
Pink Floyd Delicate Sound of Thunder
Pink Floyd Pulse
Pink Floyd Is There Anybody Out There?
Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii
Great PF album from the time before they got so "complex" that there there was no room for impro og free jamming when they played live. Here the band as a whole is playing great and with good impros.
Pixies Doolittle
Porcupine Tree Stupid Dream
Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet
Porcupine Tree Arriving Somewhere...
Porcupine Tree The Incident
Porcupine Tree Atlanta
Almost as good as Anesthetize. A sure buy. As with Anesthetize the setlist could be better.
R.E.M. Document
R.E.M. New Adventures in Hi-Fi

Howard Hughes
Riverside Second Life Syndrome
Riverside Out of Myself
Rush Chronicles
Savatage Streets: A Rock Opera
Sigur Ros ( )
Slowdive Souvlaki
Suede Sci-Fi Lullabies
Almost at 5 rating. These b-sides are as good as any a-side you can find from any band. Super abum with great tunes and great guitar playing from Bernard Butler. Outstanding tunes: "Where the Pigs dont Fly" and "Europe is Our Playground"

Airbag Identity
If the next album sounds a bit more like Airbag a little less like their idols then we have something great to come.rI can only give 4 for this superb album. It sounds so god d... good. This is Pink Floud territory. Im not kidding when I say that 5 or 6 of the songs on this album would blend in fine if Pink Floyds DSOTM or WYWH were double albums and these songs were put in.rThe sound and guitar is so much mid 70 pink Floyd that it can be. rAnd though its not at all copy it is still a bit too much like their idols.rBut the next album......I cant wait.
Alias Eye Field of Names
This is like Bon Jovi meets Savatage meets Dream Theater. Very talented band and great music. The guitar - both rhythm and lead - is great all over the album. A 4 rating is really too low. But a 4.5 rating is a little to much.
Alice in Chains Dirt
Alice in Chains Black Gives Way to Blue
Anathema A Natural Disaster
Anathema A Fine Day to Exit
Anathema Judgement
Anathema Eternity
Anathema Alternative 4
Anathema We're Here Because We're Here
Anekdoten Nucleus
Though not my taste in prog this is a strong album in the subgenre Heavy Prog. To me the melodies are too weak. But the music is strong.
Angelo Badalamenti Twin Peaks
Antimatter Leaving Eden
Black Sabbath Vol. 4
Black Sabbath Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Black Sabbath Sabotage
Bruce Springsteen The Rising
Bruce Springsteen Darkness on the Edge of Town
Bruce Springsteen The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle
Bruce Springsteen The River
Bruce Springsteen The Promise
Chroma Key Dead Air For Radios
David Bowie The Man Who Sold the World
David Bowie Diamond Dogs
David Bowie Station to Station
David Bowie Heathen
David Bowie Reality
Heathen was neo classic Bowie deep rooted in 70s Bowie albums. Reality is more rooted in period Low to Scary Monsters. That combined with a very modern 00's sound, production and song composition makes Reality the most interesting and modern Bowie album since Scary Monsters. Only reason for not getting a higher rating is that though there are many good songs on the album there too few monster songs/outstanding songs on it. With just a little bit better songs in average and 2 or 3 monster songs on it Reality could have been one of best albums.
David Bowie Lodger
Def Leppard Pyromania
Def Leppard Hysteria
Demians Building An Empire
Derek and the Dominos Live at the Fillmore
We miss Duane Allman. But Claton plays very well on his own here. Many good live versions of both tracks from Layla and other songs he like to play.
East River Pipe The Gasoline Age
A really great indie album. Dreamy and warm (in sound and melody).rI cant get enough of the tune Astrofarm. That song alone is worth all the money for the whole album.rBuy it if you like dreamy indie.
Eloy Ocean
Eloy Dawn
Good space rock. Not as "big" as Pink Floyd in sound and not as wild as Hackwind. More focused. First half is strong. Second half a little weaker.
Funkadelic One Nation Under a Groove
Funkadelic Maggot Brain
Funkadelic Standing on the Verge of Getting It On
Funkadelic Hardcore Jollies
Gary Moore Live at Monsters of Rock
Very good raw and rocking version of some good Gary Moore songs. A goreat live album.
Genesis Foxtrot
Gov't Mule The Deep End: Volume 1
Great White ...Twice Shy
Sound a little outdated today with its southern hard glam rock style. But good tunes and good guitar loads of places. Better than Once Bitten... More good songs on this one.
Great White Hooked
Great White's most mature and serious album. Trying to sound like themselves and still sounding like at mature big rock band. Good effort. Maybe their best album.
Green Carnation Light of Day, Day of Darkness
Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion II
Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion I
In the Woods... Omnio
Indukti S.U.S.A.R.
Jeff Beck Blow by Blow
Jeff Beck Wired
Jeff Beck Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop
Some of Becks most delicate guitar work are on this album. Not using a pick since about 1980 he is fingerpicking here. That + looking for crazy harmonics + stunning controll over the whammy bar makes his phrasing on this album out of this world.
Jeff Beck Emotion & Commotion
Joe Satriani Flying in a Blue Dream
Joe Satriani The Extremist
Karnivool Sound Awake
Kings of Leon Only By The Night
Madrugada Industrial Silence
A bit too all songs sound alike. But besides that a very good record. A bit of Chris Isaak, a bit of Jim Morrison, a bit of country, a bit of Springsteen and then some alt rock and indie pop.rThe songs Vocal and Shining are near classic in quality.
Madrugada The Deep end
This could easily have been a 4.5 rating. But there are some only average songs on the album. Had these been cut out then I would give it more. There are super songe, melodies and music on this album.
Madrugada Madrugada
Hard one to call. The music is maybe Madrugadas best music. But there is a little lack of really great melodies (like they use to have in spades) and "big" songs (like Majesty, Vocal or Sail Away). Have these been here, then this would have been a 4.5 and maybe even 5.
Mew And the Glass Handed Kites
Mew Frengers
Muse Absolution
Muse Origin of Symmetry
Muse Black Holes & Revelations
Negative Zone Negative Zone
Call it a Pink Floyd light album. Clear inspiration from PFs Meddle-WYWH period. Bug also some hints from King Crimson and Magma.rSome few weaker songs......but most songs pretty good.....though still a bit "light" compared to the inspirations.
Neil Young Harvest
Neil Young Freedom
Great album. Many strong songs. Favorite tune is the masterpeice Crime in the City.
Neil Young Zuma
Neil Young Ragged Glory
Half the songs (Country Home, F*!#in' Up, Mansion on the Hill, Love and Only Love) are to rating 4.5. But the other half id just a little below par to make it a 4.5 album. But at its best Ragged Glory is classic young-magic.
Nektar A Tab in the Ocean
A classic "space rock" album from one of the classic bands in this prog categorie. Good album.
Pain of Salvation Remedy Lane

Porcupine Tree Signify
Porcupine Tree Lightbulb Sun
Porcupine Tree Coma Divine
Live album from PTs early periode. That means psychedelic space rock period. Most of the songs on the album is re-arranged, more varied and better than the original versions. A must have for PT-fans. I totally dig Radioactive Toys. What a super version of that super song.

Simple Minds Live in the City of Light
Sounds a little bit outdated in style and a bit wrong produced/mixed/edited. But good live performances of many of SMs best songs. There good moments on this record if you can live with 80s style and production.
Sindre Hunsbedt Refraction
Debut album. Very good album. Hunsbedt is influenzed by Johnny Cash, Jeff Buckley, A-ha, U2, Metallica and Pink Floyd.... and in some well made alternative rock setup then the album sounds like a good mix of these bands and artists.
Slint Spiderland
Soul Asylum Grave Dancers Union
Spiritualized Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space
The Beatles A Hard Day's Night
The Beatles Let It Be
The Beatles Help!
The Beatles Past Masters, Vol. 2
The Beatles Past Masters, Vol. 1
The Black Noodle Project Ready to Go
A little 4 rating. That its not a big 4 rating is due to the fact that there are some less inspiring tracks on this album. But the best ones are very strong songs. Songs like: Ready to Go part I and II, We've Let You Go, The One and The World We Live in are all very good.
The Church Forget Yourself
Very good album. With just a 1 or 2 really outstanding songs this would be an easy 4.5
rating. Its hard to descripe how The Church Sound. This also because they have changed their
sound many times in their 30 years life. But maybe this will help: Take twangy guitars
(think The Byrd) add classic rock (think Lou Reed, David Bowie and (semi) Pink Floyd) add
80s mainstream rock (think Simple Minds, U2) add some "epic" ambitions add some semi prog
add some pure pop add some ambient music. That could be "the average Church sound".This
album is mostly ambient cool dreamy pop with a touch of prog. No songs are classics but
almost all songs are good or better.
The Church After Everything Now This
Excelent album. Really like the style on this album. The sound is dark ambient drone rock. The two longer tracks at the end is a little disappointing. But the rest are great songs. I really like Numbers, The Awful Ache, Song For The Asking and Repieve. Those a really strong tunes.
The Church Uninvited Like the Clouds
Midway through this album I was leaning to a 4.5 rating. But secound half have just a bit too many only medium above average songs. So only a 4 rating album. The style on this album is new to The Church. And by new I mean new. Its fresh and modern. Harder than normal. Up to 7th song (Pure Chance) there are only great songs. I like them all.
The Church Untitled #23
Together with Uninvited Like The Clouds the stronest Church album the last 20 years. The sound of this album is more like Forget Yourself than Uninvited. Dreamy pop with a little more indie touch than Forget Yourself. As always with The Church there are some only a little above average songs on the album and because of that yet again with do not have a 4.5 album.rSuper tunes on this album is: Cobalt Blue, On Angel Street and Sunken Sun.rSunken Sun have an almost floydian touch to it.
The Cult Sonic Temple
The Cure Pornography
The Dear Hunter Act III: Life and Death
The Gathering How to Measure a Planet?
The Pineapple Thief What We Have Sown
One PTs best albums. These tunes are great:rAll You Need To Know - Good poppy melody with nice mellotron and guitarsolo.rWest Winds - Great instrumental with ambient beginning and more thunderious ending.rWhat We Have Sown - The first 12 min are very, very good. The last 15 min a bit boring.
The Rolling Stones Exile on Main St.
The Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
The Who Tommy
The Who The Ultimate Collection
U2 Achtung Baby
U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind
U2 How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
U2 War
U2 Rattle and Hum
U2 The Unforgettable Fire

3.5 great
Atomic Rooster Death Walks Behind You
All right big psychedelic hard rock. But nowhere near a masterpiece.
Beardfish Sleeping in Traffic: Part Two
Bruce Springsteen Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
David Bowie Space Oddity
David Bowie Young Americans
David Bowie Let's Dance
David Bowie Hours
First half is a 4 rating. Second half a 3 rating. Really like the first half where Bowie both sound a little like old times and at the same time crafts new music on the old pedigry.
Devin Townsend Ziltoid the Omniscient
Gazpacho Night
Genesis Trespass
Genesis A Trick of the Tail
Genesis Abacab
Genesis Genesis
If the album was as good all the way as the nr. 1 and nr. 3 song then this would be a classy pop album. Cant if it more than 3.5 because the rest of the songs aint near as good.
Genesis Invisible Touch
Quality 80s pop. Nothing like the old prog Genesis. Maybe because of their history the get punishment for making a pop album. Because this is an album better than 3.
Great White Once Bitten....
Great White Psycho City
Sounds more like Twice Shy than Hooked. Not that ambitious. A straight forward southern glam hard rock album. Good but nothing that great.
Guns N' Roses G N' R Lies
Haken Aquarius
HIM Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice
Jeff Beck Jeff
Madrugada Grit
Madrugada's - only a little - weak album. Still okay but not that many great songs on it. There however Majesty and that one is a masterpiece. Another good song is I Don't Fit. Besides that then this is their most "rocky" album.
Muse Showbiz
Neil Young Harvest Moon
Osada Vida Three Seats Behind A Triangle
For people who like heavy prog this should be a good album. For me the melodies were a bit weak. And with not super melodies I do not often give a lot i rating.
OSI Office of Strategic Influence
Had hoped for more. Easy to hear that is well composed music og pretty high standard. And
there are very good moments on this album. But mostly it never really grew on me. But still
a good listen.
Pearl Jam Binaural
Pearl Jam Backspacer
Pink Floyd Atom Heart Mother
Pink Floyd A Saucerful of Secrets
Pink Floyd Ummagumma
Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse of Reason
R.E.M. Chronic Town
R.E.M. Monster
R.E.M. Lifes Rich Pageant
Riverside Memories In My Head
RPWL Trying To Kiss The Sun
Fine album. A "Pink Floyd light" type of album. Much like semi Pink Floyd combined with mainstream serious pop.
Simple Minds Street Fighting Years
Good album. Some fillers. But the best songs (Street Fighting Years, Mandela Day, Belfast Child and Biko) is almost as classic pop-rock tunes as it can be from around the late 80s. Forget the boring songs and enjoy the above songs and you are in fine pop-rock.
Sparklehorse Good Morning Spider
Stone Temple Pilots Thank You
Stone Temple Pilots Stone Temple Pilots (2010)
Suede Coming Up
Taal Skymind
The Beatles Please Please Me
The Beatles With the Beatles
The Beatles Beatles for Sale
The Beatles Yellow Submarine
The Church Priest=Aura
I mostly like the post 80s Church albums. Thier 80s is more twang guitar soft rock. This album though........in lack of a better word to explain their sound (typical a blend of twang guitar, 70s rock, post punk, mainstream 80s rock, ambient, epic, progressive) I would call this album quite "alternative rock" sounding. For me too many average tunes. But Dome, Feel and Mistriss are very good songs.
The Church Hologram of Baal
Would like to give it more than 3.5. But the second half of the album is at bit boring. The
first half is great and close to 4.5 (but only close....my rating here is 4). What is The
Church? Hard to explaine. But without sounding anything like them then they are like a 75 %
working Pink Floyd (without Gilmour solos) and 75 % working U2. They are pop, rock,
progressive, ambient, alt rock at the same time but always backing of a bit too much on all
parts.
The Church Magician Among the Spirits
Good but not essential Church album. Too many songs is just not above medium. But there are great songs on this album. I really like: Welcome, Grandiose and The Further Adventures of the Time Being. The "big" (almost 15 minuts) Magician Among the Spirits is the albums center piece. Though okay and enjoyable then this is not as good as one would hope for being the title track and almost 15 min long.
The Cure The Head on the Door
The Gourishankar 2nd Hands
Really not my kind of taste in music. But strangely enough it grew on me as listen to it. Great expetimental post rock.
The Legendary Pink Dots The Maria Dimension
The Pineapple Thief Someone Here Is Missing
Trentemoller Into the Great Wide Yonder
Not as good as his debut. But still a good album. Ambient electronic industrial sound.
U2 Zooropa
U2 No Line on the Horizon

3.0 good
Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love
Bruce Springsteen Nebraska
David Bowie Pin Ups
Funkadelic Uncle Jam Wants You
Genesis Nursery Cryme
Genesis ...And Then There Were Three...
Genesis Duke
Pearl Jam Riot Act
Pink Floyd More
R.E.M. Green
Most of this album dont do anything on me. But the three songs Orange Crush, Turn Your Inside Out and I Remember California is great (alt) rock song and I like them very much.
R.E.M. Out of Time
Radiohead Pablo Honey
Rainbow Bent Out of Shape
Rainbow Difficult to Cure
Suede Head Music

David Bowie Tonight
Let's Dance light. Nothing special. Blue Jean is a good track. Tonight and God Only Knows are okay tracks. The rest is sub-standard Bowie material.
Lady A Need You Now
Pearl Jam Yield

2.0 poor
David Bowie Never Let Me Down
Bowies worst album. Nothing good here. Makes one wonder why Bowie made such an album. And so too wonders Bowie years later.
Guns N' Roses The Spaghetti Incident?

1.5 very poor
