| One of the best and most important releases in early-90s VK. Moments like "DEATH MASK" show touches of a band that still hasn't entirely grown into their own skin, but this is an incredible gothic rock album - a stunning debut with enormous significance. |

| metallica sounding very comfortable in their own skin - while death magnetic felt like an remulation of days past, hardwired sounds like an album that the band wrote in the present. the rsongwriting is genuine, thoughtful, and energetic. not their best work, but as a longtime rmetallica fan, it makes me smile to hear them put out an album that's this enjoyable in r2016. to be fair, though, it really didn't need to be a double album, and loading the back half rwith midpaced tracks wasn't the best idea. still, most of the material on here is incredibly rsolid. favorite tracks: halo on fire, here comes revenge, spit out the bone |
