| This is a marvelous album! It holds my constant attention for almost the entire 77 minutes. It kicks right off with the ferocious "Stinkfist", then transitions into the slow-building-then-exploding "Eulogy" and then busts out distorted, feedback-laden guitars and tribal-sounding drums on "H.". There are several other highlights as well--the brutally heavy and cynical "Hooker with a Penis", the quiet-loud dynamic exploration of "Forty Six & 2" and the chugging title track. In my opinion, the one weakness on this album is that it contains two many short interludes, many of which don't fit well into the album. The tracks that make up the meat of the album, however, are superb. Check this one out! |
