If you listen to the first 2 albums, sure they had some epic songs, but a lot of their songs were SUPER formulaic and had barebone melodies and guitar riffs, people loved the style though. I see the same artist with a new style, they don't make amazing melodies anymore but overall they have matured musically.rIn the end (lol), it sounds like a mediocre Porcupine Tree album, which is just awesome for a mainstream band.
