| Absolutely no filler to be found here. Funeral for a Friend finally listened to their fans on this release and returned to what they do best: post-hardcore. While some may argue that WHA does not top CDADIC (I am not one of those), it is clear that this is the best guitar work we've yet to hear from them. While I'll always love Darrins contribution to the band, it is clear he was holding Kris back creatively, and Gavs switch to guitar has reignited the spark that first made me notice FFAF years ago. Yes, this means the riffs are back, and bigger than ever. Let it also be said that Richard is sounding incredible on bass. I hope they keep this lineup for years to come.rStandout tracks are Damned if you Do..., Man Alive, Old Hymns, Broken Foundations, and Owls. |
