Some of the best instrumental music I've heard recently. While the songs do blur together sometimes, the musicianship is clearly top-notch and more importantly the music comes across as fun and original. The whole album feels organic-- it doesn't sound like a band trying to climb to the top of a genre, but rather like it sprouted out of some late night jam session.

Nice Wings, Icarus! Nice Wings, Icarus!
Good instrumental post rock with a violin taking the lead instead of vocals. Great background music for hanging out, upbeat and not drone prone, which suits me just fine. That said, with no vocals the songs don't really jump out at you and can blend together over the course of the album; hence my recommendation as background music. Nothing groundbreaking but I'd still recommend a listen to fans of post rock.

Not a big fan of the vocals. The music ranges from surprisingly good at points to being fairly predictable most of the time. I'd definitely pack a bowl before you listen; with the shortest song over 11 minutes its not something to listen to casually. In the right frame of mind it could be a fun album, but I was expecting a lot more.
