The Stooges Fun House
The Stooges Raw Power
Between Funhouse and Raw Power, the Stooges put out two perfect rock n' roll records. You don't know raw, unbridled, rock n' roll madness until you've listened to these two records.

4.5 superb
Electric Wizard Dopethrone
One of the best stoner/doom bands in the world makes a pretty strong bid for their stance as "heaviest band in the universe".
Faith No More Angel Dust
Frank Zappa Joe's Garage
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine
Sunny Day Real Estate Sunny Day Real Estate
The Beatles 1
Normally I don't rate compilation albums, but this is a great collection. One of my favorite albums in my collection.
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
The Mars Volta The Bedlam in Goliath
The Mars Volta combine unpredictable and wild prog with an explosive album that makes this album a thoroughly enjoyable and truly awesome thrill ride.

4.0 excellent

New York Dolls New York Dolls
Nightwish Once
Nirvana In Utero
Ol' Dirty Bastard Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version
Rage Against the Machine The Battle of Los Angeles
This album lags in the second half, but the first half is very strong, and the second half does the duty of keeping up the infectious energy of the first half.

The Beatles The Beatles
The Cramps Psychedelic Jungle
The White Stripes Elephant

3.5 great
Choking Victim No Gods, No Managers
Coheed and Cambria In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Coheed and Cambria The Second Stage Turbine Blade
David Bowie Best of Bowie
Dead Kennedys Frankenchrist
Eminem Recovery
Some tracks are absolutely great return-to-form tracks ("Cold Wind Blows", "Despicable"), while others are lame and uninspired ("Not Afraid").
While this is a mixed bag album, Em's flow is more nimble and fierce than we've heard him in years. For the first time in two albums, Em sounds interested in what he's doing.
Gallows (UK) Orchestra Of Wolves
Gallows (UK) Grey Britain
Green Day American Idiot
Kings of Leon Aha Shake Heartbreak
Lady Gaga The Fame
Lady Gaga The Fame Monster
Marilyn Manson Antichrist Superstar
MGMT Oracular Spectacular
The singles ("Kids", "Electric Feel", and "Time to Pretend") are great, while the rest of the tracks are decent, but don't have much replay value. I can appreciate trippy music, and the other tracks aren't bad. In fact, I think they're good! They're just not very interesting. I've heard better psychedelia, and I've heard worse.
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
My Chemical Romance Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
MCR streamline their sound considerably after the pomp, cut-and-paste Queen of The Black Parade. The result is a strong, fun album that stands out as their best work to date.
Nirvana Nevermind
Prince Controversy
Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire
Not as strong as BoLA, not even as strong as the second half of the album, Rage still play with a power and an infectious energy that's hard to deny.
Ramones Loud, Fast Ramones - Their Toughest Hits
This is a good compilation, but there are some bum tracks on here that could have easily been replaced by some of the Ramones poppier works that Johnny obviously overlooked.
The Cure Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
The Hives Veni Vidi Vicious
The Killers Hot Fuss
The Vines Highly Evolved
Wavves King of the Beach

3.0 good
Green Day Warning
Lady Gaga The Remix
Lil Wayne Tha Carter III
Marilyn Manson Portrait of an American Family
Maximum the Hormone Bu-ikikaesu
There's some obvious work needing to be done, there are some songs where it sounds like it could be great, it just needs a little more work. Yet other songs demonstrate a unique, fun, and adventurous sound. The spastic energy is their strongest trait. The last half of the album is better than the first.
My Chemical Romance Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
Nightwish Dark Passion Play
The Stooges The Stooges
The Stooges put out a good album here, but it's only a shadow compared to Fun House or Raw Power. Pop's vocals still have some room to grow, as does Ron Asheton's guitar.
