Definitely a Neu!-esque approach here - varied and interesting textures played over steady, danceable grooves (and yes, said grooves are very reminiscent of Flying Lotus and Burial). These guys are still great with arrangements. Everything intertwines so fluidly it could leave you picking out new sonic details years from now. However, I can't help but feel that the first four tracks are a little melodically lacklustre; re-listening through the last three tracks as I am now, I can't for the life of me remember how those first four went. And I don't really care.rBut as everyone's been saying, those last four are pretty much fantastic. |
