Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion
ISIS Oceanic
Jedi Mind Tricks Violent by Design
Mark Lanegan Whiskey For the Holy Ghost
Always always always I come back to this. Borracho says it all. Each song winds its way carefully. This is the album I think of when I think of Mark L.
Neurosis Souls at Zero
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus

Billy Bragg Back to Basics
Superb place to start. I cannot believe this is the only Billy Bragg record on Sputnik. Worker's Playtime, Taxman, and Don't Try This At Home all deserve a review.
Bjork Debut
Crowbar Life's Blood For The Downtrodden
Crowbar Odd Fellows Rest
Always get a spine tingle when When Planets Collide starts.
Crowbar Sonic Excess in Its Purest Form
Cult of Luna Somewhere Along the Highway
Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Dir En Grey Withering to Death
Dir En Grey Uroboros
Drowningman Rock And Roll Killing Machine
An insanely complex and layered album in one sense, and in another sense simple and brutal. Just fantastic stuff.
Dub War Wrong Side of Beautiful
A fantastic set of songs with immense staying power.

Hot Water Music No Division
By far my favourite album by this band. Walter S did the production and it just changes the approach. This stands apart from all their other albums alone. It is almost a different band, and a great one.
ISIS Panopticon
Jedi Mind Tricks Visions of Gandhi
Jedi Mind Tricks Legacy of Blood
Katatonia Night Is the New Day
I've added a 0.5. After listening to this after a hiatus, and listening to the other records, this one does shine through, even after my initial over-listening bout of mental inertia. It's very consistent and well balanced.

Unida Unida - Dozer [Split EP]
Unida The Great Divide
The first two songs just ooze. Dozer went on to better things, but Unida are really on form here.

The bass on this album is really something. EP is also great. Surprised so few ratings for this great album.
Will Haven Carpe Diem

Alice in Chains Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains Sap

Amen We Have Come for Your Parents
Another underrated item. You can forgive the repetitive nature of the songs because of the intense delivery on this record. This holds up for me after many years. P for Punk.

Electric Wizard Let Us Prey
Genius follow-up to Dopethrone. This is sophisticated and more controlled than the urgency with Dopethrone.
Elliott Smith Figure 8
Entombed Wolverine Blues
This an excellent rock and roll album. In a good way they changed direction, but this is a good place to be. This is hard and it rocks.
Entombed DCLXVI: To Ride Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth
This one seems to split people. To Ride has really good tunes, and yes it is Rock and Roll. Wreckage is one of the best endings to any album. You need to e-n-j-o-y this.

This did not quite live up to the promise of the EP. You Again is a brilliant song. Monunmental riif. Seriously monunmental. Hugely monumental. Get it?

Unida Coping With The Urban Coyote
Vision of Disorder Imprint
This album seems to have got lost in the sandwich, and easily the best of the bunch. A crisp production by D'Sardy makes this pack a real punch. May not please the entire hardcore crowd. Unlike their other albums this has consistency all the way through.

This one flopped pretty badly. Came out at a time when nu-metal was digging in, and this was more straightforward stripped down metal. Nick's comment sums it up. I would also add Crowbar to the list of bands that may indicate if you would like this record.
Fu Manchu King of the Road
Fu Manchu Daredevil
Fugazi Red Medicine
Gallows (UK) Grey Britain
Ghost Brigade Guided By Fire
After reading the reviews I thought this would be much less mature from Isolation Songs. It is not. Do not worry. It is like getting another dose. Do get this if you liked Isolation Songs.

Kilgore A Search for Reason
Kyuss Muchas Gracias: The Best of Kyuss

Some excellent covers. I really wish there had been 4-6 more songs, as it is over very quick. That's the only flaw here.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Nocturama
Rival Schools United By Fate

Green holds it down here. The pacing is also top notch from the band and a welcome change of pace - albeit a faster one.

I really want to give this more, but there just is not enough variety. Many classic anthem-type-esque tunes on here though and is instantly gratying to listen to, but doesn't quite stand the test of time like its successor.

Loved this when it came out, but ultimately the novelty this gained success from prevents it from a lasting triumph.
Sick of It All Blood,Sweat, & No Tears
Skunk Anansie Stoosh
Soundgarden Louder Than Love
System of a Down Hypnotize
The Clash Combat Rock
The Levellers Levelling The Land
Zeitgeist is my favourite Levellers album. This one still stands up but sounds dated to me. Zeitgeist has the best mood and tone for me.

Helmet Born Annoying
Misery Loves Co. Your Vision Was Never Mine to Share
It's really not that bad, but after Not Like Them this is very hard to swallow, and it just doesn't sit right. It's cohesive but it just feels like a bunch of songs. Still there are some good songs here, particulary the title track and the The Cure cover.
Pitchshifter Infotainment?
One classic tune but not enough variety to elevate it a above its peers.
