Also Born Addicted and Thorn In My Side. This album is significantly faster than their later albums. It is not as melodious as their later stuff but I like the energy in it. Plus the guy's face on the original album cover, (not shown here), looks similar to the guys face that is melting on Demolition Hammer's album "Tortured Existence". That is kick ass! :D4.5 superbCicada (UK) CicadaThere are many electronica bands and DJ's out there. Many of them are good in their genre, whether it be trance, house, electro and so on. Not many bands can have such a vast spectrum of sound and talent. Cicada is a genre bending electronic based band from Britain. They have been around since 2002 but released their first LP in 2006. This band does a very good job at blending the sounds of house, trance, indie dance, and nu disco. The end result is something that sounds like Abba, Donna Summer, Blondie, and a lot of the bands from the late 70's and early 80's including bands in post punk, new wave, and new romantic. Along with elements of modern music such as sounds from trance and house. It's clean sounding and the lead vocalist has a very good voice. IMO it's like a better version of The Sounds, with less emphasis in rock music, although you will hear some nice and funky bass lines. They also seem to be influenced by The Cardigans as seen with "Tricks", which sounds like "Lovefool". Anyways great album.Protector A Shedding of Skin4.0 excellentMarkus Schulz Toronto '09this website isn't very big on electronica. But anyways I wanted to rate the newest album but I guess I can't. :/
