Shiv-R Hold My Hand
Shiv-r is a new-comer band being hailed as the "next big thing" in industrial music. Pete Crane (vocals, percussion, structures) located in London and Lee Bulig (Ambience, Melodies) located in Bangkok start the album with a predominately ambient track ending in the echoes of "Can you hear the Sound, Calling Underground?” Yes, yes I can hear the sound. And a haunting sound it is. Black and white images flicker through my mind, a horror film unfolds, Blood Spatter flicks violently on the lens. While songs like Parasite and Happiness are sure to keep the dance floor full, the stand out tracks for me on the album are the slower more emotional tracks Buried (the opening track) and the closing track, The End (PT. 2). If you like your industrial music harsh and in your face, but with a little bit more intelligence be sure to check out “Hold My Hand”.
