Nine Inch Nails Hesitation Marks
I'm old school. Waited to but the CD. As a long time fan I'll admit that I was a bit nervous heading into this. Some of what I had heard made me wonder if NIN wasn't going to sound more like HTDA. But having now listened to this a few times on a decent quality stereo.... as oppose to computer speakers, I can say that Hesitation Marks is absolutely brilliant. Soooo many good songs on this release. I'm blown away by Satellite and In two. In fact it's probably easiest for me to talk about the Songs I like the least on this CD (Running, and I would for you) since I think the rest of them are top notch. rHas NIN changed? Absolutely. But not in the way you might think. Look no further than the song titles for evidence this is still NIN. All Time Low, Disappointed, Came back Haunted, does this sound like happy go lucky music to you? The difference isn't in the themes, it's in the aggression. Trent is pushing 50 and to get fucked up and destroy equipment on stage wouldn't be sincere anymore. It would be an act. And I appreciate The fact that Reznor respects us enough not to put us through that. rTrent is still dealing with all the same issues, he's just doing it from a different place. Instead of feeding it he's fighting it. And if you are long time NIN listener....hopefully you are too.

Tesla Into The Now
Tesla in my opinion is an underrated band. If these guys could get some air play (never hear any new Tesla on the radio in my area anyway) there are a lot of people that would love and relate to these songs. Caught in a Dream, Words can't explain, Come to Me, all very radio friendly tunes for the rock crowd. And they do the heavy stuff well too. Check out Into the Now, Miles Away, or Mighty Mouse. Nothing earth shattering here but these guys are just good at what they do.
Tesla Forever More
I gotta admit that this Tesla CD won me over more due to the ballads than the hard rock. Just in case, Fallin apart, The First Time, and PVT Ledbetter, all beautiful songs. Don't get me wrong, there is some quality 80's hard rock here as well. Breakin Free rocks as does All of Me. If you like 80's rock at all you'll dig this CD. Gotta love the upbeat and positive attitude on display here as well.
The Chemical Brothers Come With Us
Tweaker 2 a.m. Wakeup Call

3.0 good
Alice in Chains The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
Anathema The Optimist
Celldweller Wish Upon a Blackstar
Interesting to note in Windows Music player the 2003 Celldweller CD was labeled as "Metal". The 2011 (2009) version is labeled as "Dance & DJ". Not sure how Klayton feels about that, but I have to agree with it. This new material is not quite as heavy. It's still good, and interesting. But in my opinion not up to the level of the older stuff. And even though Klayton is now 7 years older, his new music appears to be targeting a younger audience. EDIT: By the time this is fully released I will likely change my rating to a 3.5 or a 4.
Crossfade Crossfade
Crossfade We All Bleed
Dark Time Sunshine Vessel
Depeche Mode Exciter
Disciple (USA-TN) Southern Hospitality
When I hear "Southern Rock sound" I think Kenny Wayne Shepherd or Black Stone Cherry type sound.... and this isnt it. to me, this is more of a Papa Roach or Saving Abel type sound. Definately radio friendly rock and if thats what your in the mood for than this is ok.
