Still, the concept album structure is a worthy successor to Eldorado, and it has some songs which rank up there with ELO's best. Priestess Hello MasterAn improvement over Wolfmother in the retro-hard rock area, but they do have a problem with the songs tending to all run together after a while, and lead singer Mikey Heppner is a bit strained. Still, it's a decent if generic debut, with lots of promise. 2.5 averageElectric Light Orchestra Discovery"Disco Very"? No kidding. This is ELO's poppiest, most commercial album to date - nothing wrong with that, but it's clear that they're running out of inspiration. Several of the songs are at least catchy and pleasant to hear, but unlike most of ELO's albums, there isn't much of substance, and they're beginning the overuse of synths and the move away from strings that would plague them in the 80's.
