5.0 classic
Agressor Neverending Destiny
Alice in Chains Dirt
The album that inspired me as a musicain. This album is flawless, and Layne Staley really shows what hes made of as a vocalist. This is way heavier than just about any other grunge album you will find out there. Plus, its kinda metal, and not quite fully grunge. Regardless, AIC was still one of the leaders of the grunge movement, and i think Layne's vocal performance still hasnt been matched by anyone. R.I.P Layne
Attomica Disturbing The Noise
Dark Angel Darkness Descends
The secound best dark angel album after Time Does Not Heal. This beats the crap out of slayer. It is extremely hard to find on cd, but definitely worth the purchase. The burning of sodom is played at 280bpm!!!! Only sadus or wehrmacht can beat that speed.
Dark Angel Time Does Not Heal
This is by far the best thrash album in terms of technicallity, and musicainship. It think this band has somthing in common with sadus in that they both have released an album or two that has more riffs and complexity than any of the big four put out in their entire careers. Every song is epic, dripping with intricate and precise riffs, that make just about any other metal album out there sound somewhat shabby. I dare say that the guys in metallica couldnt even comprehend how to write music with such complexity, as thay lacked the abillity. If AJFA was metallica at their most sophisticated, its not that impressive compared to this masterpeice.I find it funny AJFA is considered a landmark of progressive thrash, as only a few songs on the album are even thrash, and it isnt really that technical, or progressive. But THIS is progressive/Technical thrash done the right way.If there were a perfect example of human creative potentail being fulfilled it would be this entire album. I believe that this has hardly been matched or surpassed since it's realease. If you really think that metallica and salyer and the rest of the big four are the final word on thrash, not only do you lack knowlege of the genre, but you also display characterisitcs of a poser, a follower, and a fool. i dont care how you look at it, from technicality, to musicianship there are numerous thrash bands such as Dark Angel that were more talented than the big four. they just didnt get any credit. it seems like all some people know is what mtv put in their heads. Anybody who considers this less than worthy knows nothing about complex or sophisticated music, and has no buisness even commenting here.
Death Individual Thought Patterns
Exodus Bonded by Blood
Hellwitch Syzygial Miscreancy
This band might tie with wehrmacht or sadus in speed. Extremely technical, this band perfectly displays Technical fury. this band is so intense, that many people cant even handle them. I have seen many, slayer/metallica fans run away from this album simply because they havent heard such fury. If only they followed this album correctly....
Insanity Death After Death
Kreator Coma of Souls
Kreator Terrible Certainty
Merciless The Awakening
Merciless The Treasures Within
Opprobrium Beyond The Unknown
Very raw, thrashy, and technical, this is one of the best early death metal albums ever made. Like crossing Sepultura with late period Dark Angel.
Pestilence Malleus Maleficarum
Another death/thrash classic. Technical and heavy as hell. These guys would later progress into a diffent sound but i think their ealier stuff is much better. also worth checking out is their secound album.
Ripping Corpse Dreaming With the Dead
Sadus Swallowed in Black
Sadus's masterpeice.More agressive more death metal oriented, and more technical than the debut. its kinda sad that most people say this is a slower album than the debut, but i think it is more intense.Black, the blazing opener is MUCH faster than certain death, and so is in your face.Good Rid'nz is easily faster than almost anything on illusons.Plus, the wake probably has the fastest blastbeat the band ever recorded. Most of the songs match the the speed of illusions, while still varying in tempo. This could quite possibly be the fastest/most brutal thrash album ever folks, one of the fastest metal albums of all time.Sadus was among the most technical, agressive and sophisticated of thrash bands.Swallowed in black has much more riffs than bands like metallica released in their entire career.for one to assume that this band is inferior to say, metallica, or any of the big four, for that matter is ignorant. In terms of musicainship, and technicallity, sadus delievers more than anything the big 4 had to offer, pluss they still played thrash fucking metal, unlike metallica.Seriously, half the shit on their first 4 albums wasnt even thrash.Besides they werent even near as technical as sadus. All they are is rediculously overrated.I am sick and tired of people who dismiss this band as average,or not good at all. This band had unbelievable talent, beyond what most had at that time. Screw this Idnuf fool, who probably doesnt even listen to sadus, or real thrash that much. Fuck all you wankers and posers who talk about bands without actually knowing what you are talking about.seriously, some people need to shut up and learn about the genre that they pretend to listen to.Take it from a REAL thrasher, this band is among the best.ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wehrmacht Shark Attack
This band is the only reason why Sadus in not the fastest thrash band of all time. This band gets so fast, i easily runs neck to neck with most grindcore out there. Many call this crossover thrash, but i would argue that this is a perfect example of what PURE THRASH sounds like. The fact that the band can pluy a such inhuman speeds, and yet hit every not so precisely is amazing. The band even has some technical ablilities, shown clearly on the song Fretboard Gymnastics, which is a huge plus. So not only are they incredibly fast, they are quite technical as well. Although it was released in 1987, it was recorded in late 1986, so in a way, this is a 1986 album, the same year that darkness descends, and reign in blood was ravaging the thrash scene. Also, i like how they have a song about bashing posers (barrage of Skankers), so you know this band isnt playing around.Man, Wehrmacht mosh-pits must have been crazy!!!If this was released the same year it was recorded, i would have been consider as groundbreaking as the the two albums i just mentioned. This band as well as sadus are quite possibly one of the fastest bands in the world. Not just in the thrash genre, but of all time, even by today's standards. You dont know fast untill you have heard this album. I cant find anything other than Sadus that can get anywhere close to this band. From dark angel, to exhorder to slayer, seputura ect., this band just Blows them away.

4.5 superb
Dark Angel Leave Scars
Death Scream Bloody Gore
Death Leprosy
Death Human
Demolition Hammer Epidemic of Violence
With a heavieness that bands like pantera only wish they could have, this band steamroles over almost everything in its path. This band is really close to sadus, and dark angel in speed and brutality, but have a unique sound of their own. Its great to so a thrash album of this quality come out as late as 1992. I think that Although thrash has never, and will never die, the original and classic thrash movement died in 1991-1992. This is one of the last classic thrash albums, as well as one of the best.
Kreator Pleasure to Kill
Kreator Extreme Aggression
Merciless Unbound
Sadus Illusions
Truely peerless mastepeice. On this album, they didnt realy focus as much on technicality, as they did on their secound album, but hints of Sadus's outstanding technical albilities can still be heard. This shows thrash streched to its absolute limit in terms of speed and agression. And despite being very chaotic, this is far more technical and competent that anything from slayer or metallica. Slayer sounds very sloppy and tame by comparrison. This as well as Swallowed In Black could quite possibly be the fastest/most brutal thrash album ever as this is skull bashing, extreme thrash, faster than Reign In Blood, Darkness Descends, and Pleasure to kill. Most of the songs are 310+bpm in terms of speed.the bass on this album really makes it stick out from most others of this period. With numerous early death metal riffs, bass solos, technical bass playing and even pounding blastbeats, this is full of primal agression. This is far from unispired thrash, as it is better than most thrash albums you will find out there. Screw this idnuf/a person retard, who needs to go back to his rap shit, and doesnt know real talent when he hears it. The fact that Sadus is even capable of palying as fast, and as technical as they do only shows how unique, and superior this band is. This is probably my favorite thrash album of all time, rivaled only by Wehrmacht's Shark Attack in speed. Full of Semi-Technical riffs and a fury that only Sadus can deliver.Sadly, they dont get half the credit they deserve. And, btw, what i just said is more than an oppinion. It is a carefully thought out analysis of this band, based on their musicainship, and technical capablities. You are hardly a thrasher if you dont own this album, so GET IT!!!!!! Or, certain death awaits you!
Sadus DTP Demo 1986
Sepultura Morbid Visions
TAD Inhaler
One of the heaviest grunge bands, along the lines of AIC. both are similar as they were on the metal side of things. Great album and great band.

4.0 excellent
Dark Angel Live Scars
Death Spiritual Healing
Exhorder Slaughter in the Vatican
This is definitely one of the heaviest thrash metal albums of all time, as well as one of the fastest. On this album, they mix both slow and extremely fast tempos with great effect and skill, proving that Exhorder is very versitlie as a band. In the slower sections, they show traces of groove metal, but the fastest parts of the albums can compete with anything from Slayer or dark angel and its Much heavier. It is clear just from listening to this where pantera got their inspiration from in the 90s, only they wernt half as good as this band. Exhorder still played thrash fucking metal!! Pantera was rather watered down in comparrison. Excellent album.
Forbidden Forbidden Evil
Forbidden Twisted into Form
Gorguts The Erosion of Sanity
Kreator Endless Pain
Megadeth Rust in Peace
arguably the best Megadeth album. Although i think this band is far from the best when it comes to thrash, on this album, they show their talent. this is more technical than previos material from this band, and i think this is the best album from any of the best album from the big 4 of thrash.
Opprobrium Serpent Temptation
Sadus A Vision of Misery
The most technical sadus album. Looks like this fool idnuf has no clue what he is talking about, as this is one of the most unique and technical thrash releases ever. Far more than anything the band has done before, or since. Dispite its high technicality(which sadus is well know for) this one just doesnt seem to be as intense as the two before, but the solid, Spartan musichainship, and complex song structures make up far that quite well. Dont get me wrong, this album still has fast and intense moments, and this is still faster than most thrash you will find out there, but its kinda slow for Sadus.this is top notch technical death/thrash, and has a heavier sound than previous sadus albums. for the year that was 1992, this was, and still is way ahead of its time. Much more advanced than what most bands in the thrash genre were releasing in '92.'91-'92 was the era of half-thrash, and groove metal, such as metallica' shitty black album, Megadeth's Coundown To Extinction, Testament's The Ritual and pantera's VDOP.Just as most thrash bands were getting simplistic and "commercial", Sadus was getting more sophisticated. This is much better than any of that rubbish. Screw the posers, and the haters. This band is resposible for some of the most intricate, technical, and agressive music ever recorded, and this album is a perfect example of the band's ablities.
Sepultura Arise
Sepultura Beneath the Remains
Slayer Show No Mercy

3.5 great
Dark Angel We Have Arrived
Exhorder The Law
Now this is Groove metal done the right way. Much more extreme than pantera, and much faster. (although pantera still isnt bad). Some of the songs arent groove at all, and are instead full-thrash. Plus the Black Sabbath cover is badass.
Merciless Merciless
Sepultura Schizophrenia
Silverchair Frogstomp
Post grunge classic. Their best album. I hate the direction the band took in later albums, but this one is way more consistant, and the more grunge oriented of all their works. It is too bad the band is reluctant to play songs off this album anymore in concerts.
Slayer Seasons in the Abyss
Dispite what i said about slayer not being the best of thrash, i still think they are good, and this album is heavy as ****!!! this might be the heaviest slayer album ever. the ultra clear production really captures the raw distortion of slayers gutairists. Most people say RIB is the best slayer album, but i prefer this one. Well at least its heavier than RIB, thats for sure.

3.0 good
Megadeth Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?
Metallica Ride the Lightning
Metallica ...And Justice for All
Pantera Cowboys from Hell
Pantera Power Metal
Sadus Elements of Anger
On this ablum, i didnt quite like the direction sadus took. It is still very technical and complex (not as much as A Vision Of Misery though), but the overall slower sound of this album was a bit of a disspointment to me. Still, Elements of anger Has some of the best Bass lines ever! The production is much better than previos albums, but in my oppinion, that just seems to take away the raw and agressive sound that Sadus originally had. Regerdless, this is a fine, and worthy album. It seems to me that Mr. Idnuf doesnt know much about what the word bland means, as this albums is WAY above what any average band could write, as well as more complex. Even though this is by no means, the most brutal, complex, or extreme Sadus album, it has much more to offer than most thrash you will find. I guess Idnuf doesnt know what technicallity is either, especially when it comes to this band.Seriously, if you are a poser, or you dont know much about this band, you need to fuck off, and stop giving this band low reviews, and actually listen to their music before reviewing. I see it all the time, posers, know nothings, idiots, and people that will only listen to Illusions always give everthing after that album low ratings, without even listnening to it. I would recomend the earlier sadus albums, but this one is still good, and if you want a mature, technical, and sophisticated thrash album, this is for you.
Slayer South of Heaven
Is it just me, or could the slow-thrash approach that slayer used on this album be a precursor to what would be called groove-metal in the '90s? Anyways, this album while not as fast as the one that came before, is still great, and one of the heaviest this band has to offer.
