Chad was for sure listening to some hardcore punk while making this album. Some say the lyrics or corny, I say their lyrics are fun and are just straight forward. They don't care if their cringy and its intentional. Songs like Stay Awhile, Jason Vorhees and GOAT show they still got the knack for great hooks. Shook by Your Shaved Head and Nothing To Say still show they got the hardcore influence. Slipping Away shows they still can write the ballads that hit the heart. This record was a pleasant surprise and is the best thing they put out since Sticks & Stones.
