| This album has just enough direction and structure to remain interesting and allow each song to have individual character and memorable parts (which is something some shoegaze albums lack). A better production would have helped this album a lot; with all of the various sonic landscapes that are present, it is a shame that the production is a little flat and compressed sounding. In reality, this is somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 for me. More listens will decide which way it falls. |

| another solid effort from the deftones. This album is a bit more straight-forward than I like from them but it gets the job done and really does a good job of creating an almost shoegaze style atmosphere to most the songs. Still doesn't touch White Pony but its a solid album nonetheless. |

much more of a grower. My initial listen was a little underwhelming in comparison, but
each listen has wormed its way into my ear-holes further and further. |
