Stars In Our Bedroom After The War
I have never been a fan of albums that tell a story but Stars knows what they are doing in this album. In Our Bedroom After The War tells a story that just pulls you in. It takes your through the radical stages of war and the terror that people of war struck countries feel. Very well done and I can't wait for their next release this June!
Stars The Five Ghosts
The Bird And The Bee Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future
The Bird and the Bee maintains their themes in this album, and doesn't disappoint. Inara George doesn't do quite the masterful vocals found on their previous albums however the synth and accompaniment is as strong as ever. Overall this album shows that The Bird and the Bee are slowly evolving and I can't wait for their next full album!

Stars always catches me off guard with a beat accompanied with lyrics that are catchy but not too catchy. This album has some really great songs that really work together.
Vampire Weekend Contra

3.5 great
Arcade Fire The Suburbs
Bat For Lashes Fur and Gold
Bat for Lashes has so much talent it's hard to not listen to this album. The themes of mystic prophecy and magic are well found here but not in an obnoxious or annoying way that some pop-synth bands put forth. This is the real deal, Natasha has such a perfect blend of lyrical muse with her faint and accentual musical backing.

Paramore Riot!
Riot! is a LOUD album. Paramore covers all of it's bases with Riot! and really steps up as a band. One of the biggest things for me is how great the songs on this album really work together with some great hooks and accompaniment done by the band.
Stars Nightsongs
The Bird And The Bee The Bird and the Bee
The Bird and the Bee really impress me in many ways. Not only does Inara George have a vocal talent like no other but the way that their synth and undertones effects compliment each song in such a delicate way. Not to mention that their themes and lyrics only get better with time.
The Sounds Something to Die For
The Strokes Angles
The Submarines Honeysuckle Weeks
Tilly and the Wall O
Wye Oak Civilian
Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show Your Bones
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs really cover all of their bases with this album. They have songs with a more synth focus but they also have some great rock songs all while maintaining some great lyrics. What more could you ask for?

Marina The Family Jewels
When I first discovered Marina I thought WOW she is very talented. However as I listened more and more it occurred to me that she was really just pushing herself more and more into hooks of a pop singer. She has talent but she has so much more potential to go far in the Inidie community than she will in Pop music.
Matt and Kim Sidewalks
Metro Station Metro Station
Metro Station to me, apparently not many other people here, is overall a good album and decent band. Sometimes I think people here vote based on the reviews they read, but personally I think this album is pretty well put together. The synth and rhythm fit very well together and their lyrics are at least 5 times better than some of the shit the poser alternative bands are putting out these days. They are by no means worth an obsession but they aren't the worst music being put out these days.

Owl City Of June
Paramore All We Know Is Falling
Paramore Brand New Eyes
Brand New Eyes didn't impress me in the slightest. When listening to it I couldn't decide where they were trying to go, were they trying to calm their style or pump it up. I think that the album in general is a huge power struggle within itself with blase themes and a lack of any legitimate work together.
Swimming With Dolphins Ambient Blue
The Academy Is... Santi
Thirty Seconds to Mars This Is War
In all honesty this is a good album by 30 Seconds to Mars but every time I hear it I feel like I am listening to christian rock with different lyrics. The guitar parts are generally unoriginal and the overall sound is very mediocre. But it is in no means "bad."
