| As for Rust In Peace, WOW . I've yet to hear a thrash album that can beat it. Going from the 1st song holy wars to rust in peace (last song) is a onslaught of killer and unique riffs and solo's . Even the base is heard throuout the album.(rare for thrash albums). The only place they give u a break is Dawn Patrol, just for effect.I can't say enough about Hanger 18, Tornado of Souls, Rust in Peace, Five Magics, Holy Wars, Lucretia, Take no Prisoners,and even the beseline in Dawn Patrol is pretty awesome. There lyrics are good as well. From thrash lyrics(Rust in Peace) to meaningful lyrics(tornado of souls). This album is such a classic it's mind blowing. Marty Friedman is one of the greatest guitarists for trademark leads. With him and Dave playing together, mind blasting. I think we can all safetly say there won't ever be another rust in peace. |
