7 Seconds Scream Real Loud
If you want to hear classic 7 Seconds songs with better quality, this is as close as you're going to get, short of a re-release of classics such as "Walk Together, Rock Together" and "The Crew." If you're a fan of old-skool hardcore/punk and/or of this band, album is worth getting.

Ok, after a few listens, I'm sold! This album showcases Dustin's vocals more than any Thrice album before. Thrice will, sadly, never make another album like "The Artist in the Ambulance" or "Illusions of Safety," but the evolution that this band has made as a unit is one of the biggest musical joys I've had following any single band.

Fall Out Boy Take This to Your Grave
Back in 2003, everybody who was into the underground music scene in Chicago either was a big fan of, or had at the very least heard of, Fall Out Boy. And after listening to this album one time, you'll be hooked. It's catchy, but it doesn't feel like a guilty pleasure. Back then, you could appreciate the band's music and you wanted to root for their ultimate success. What wasn't expected was that us Chicagoans had created a monster and their success ended up being mindless drivel. Nonetheless, if there is one Fall Out Boy album that you need to get (not telling you to do it, just in case if you're curious), this is the only one that's worth getting.

I think I'm going to stop trying to understand this band. Not doing it for me.
Converge No Heroes
First Converge album I checked out and I must say, I was disappointed.
I like hardcore, but there's very little distinction between the first four tracks and even I started believing that these were meant to be one big track. To me, they're tolerable at best.
I like the drumming on this album and to me, it proves to be the saving grace of this CD. However, I have to agree with a few people here who feel that all members are all over the place.
I finally understand why people complain about the vocals. This makes Tommy Rogers of Between the Buried and Me sound like Sam Cook or Frank Sinatra. I can appreciate the vocals as being part of the brutality of a band's song structure, therefore the vocals must match the loud, aggressive, hard music played in the background, but this is too much screaming even for me. It's too unintelligible and unenjoyable. The album as a whole is unmemorable as well, but b/c I do love hardcore, I was able to, at the very least, tolerate 9 tracks from this.
