So I read the "featured" review on this album, and I feel that its a little too fanboyish. So I'm gonna write from somone who was not much of a fan of DGD before this album.
I first heard of DGD from a friend who lent me, "Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean". I had four thoughts on the album. 1. Great EP. 2. Very Unique. 3. Okay Screamer. 4. Damn! That guy has an amazing voice! But, it still wasn't enough for me to put a real interest in this band.
Then it all changed, my friend showed me the second song on the album, "And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman". I freaked, everything was perfect, Craig's voice was flawless, screaming was superb, guitar was amazing, and the drums were just downright sick. As soon as I got home I downloaded the album. I was truly suprised at the amount of good to great songs they had compiled on one CD.
So here they are:

1. Untitled (Ironic huh?)
Not much of a song, 48 seconds long, but its basically the intro to "And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman". I consider it a very good intro, amazing acoustics too.

2. And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman
This is the song I was talking about in the opening, once you hear it, you'll see why I'm hooked. Starts off with breathtaking vocals. Screaming really adds a kind of edge to the otherwise mellow song. Guitar is sharp. All around, still one of my favorite DGD songs.

3. Its Safe To Say You Dig The Backseat.
Contrary to others opinion, I am a big fan of this song. When the singer and screamer harmonize, its amazing. Not just a "filler" song.

4. Strawberry Andre
Good intro. Great vocals as always. Solid guitar and drums. Just typical DGD.

5. Lemon Meringue Tie
Amazing song. Everythings flawless. This is DGD's mantra, unique. Vocals, stunning. Screaming, great. Guitar, sick. Another one of my favorite songs.

6. The Backwards Pumpkin Song
Great intro! The screaming is sensational! Absolutely great vocals, as you can come to expect now. Always puts me in a good mood. The guitar is highlighted in this song greatly.

7. Antlion
Not a bad song, but not a great song. Vocals, good as always. I don't know if I'd call this a "filler", but it's pretty damn close.

8. Turn Off The Lights, I'm Watching Back To The Future (Great name huh?)
A truly good song. I love the rhythym and guitar. Vocals, as they always are. Especially good screaming in this one. Somewhat of a hidden gem on this album. ALSO, it's one of the few DGD songs that uses or has anything to do with the title.

9. Open Your Eyes and Look North
An attempt at a somewhat softer song. I'm not a big fan of it, kind of a "filler" song. But good vocals.

10. Suprise! I'm From Cuba. / Everyone Has One Brain (Another great name!)
Good song, nothing amazing about it, other than vocals. Solid DGD song.

11. 12 Hours 630 Miles
Another filler song, not to my taste. Good vocals and good guitar.

All together, I think this is an amazing album. Dance Gavin Dance is such a unique band. Certainly not one of those cookie-cutter bands you hear all about. You have to remember when listening to them, don't compare them to anybody, because they're so unique, it could give you a bad perception of this great band.
