I never knew a concept album could be so well done, and the whole thing both lyrically and instrumentally blows my mind every time. My only complaint is not being able to really hear Arif on the bass, but that might just be my ineptness. Regardless this album is definately a favorite of mine that I keep coming back to. Those that do dislike this album, I implore you to try to follow the story with lyrics while listening to the way it unfolds on the album.4.0 excellentMy Chemical Romance I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your LoveThis album has helped me rock out on so many occasions. I've went through at least two store bought copies and countless burned copies. What this album does, and when it worked for me, is help me feel like a million dollars. After only a couple listens, I quickly learned nearly all the lyrics, and it sets up even the most amateur of vocalists opportunities to both sing and scream along until you are red in the face. It may not be a masterpiece to anyone that attempts to label the band as "emo shit," but respectfully calling it "alternative rock" my help to swallow this pill a bit for those that don't dig MCR. Regardless, this album has heightened my senses on many levels. It make me an MCR fan, and this album is definitely their best work in demonstrating their ability and desire to rock an audience. That said, it definitely isn't for everyone. I must admit, I was much younger when I found the charm in this album, so if you are past your rebellious teen stage then it is most likely too late to enjoy this album. It is just a really fun album, and definately one of my top favorites. If you own the real deal, just try reading the outside of the album for a little Easter egg.Unearth The Oncoming StormThis is the first Unearth album I have listened to, and for the longest time paid them no mind due to their name being so close to Underoath. Definately not the same! This album rocks. It has great vocals, a great opener with real passionate lyrics, and great guitar and drum playing. I didn't notice a guitar solo until the 6th track, but what I did notice was before the first track was even over, I wanted to have everyone I know listen to this album. It's heavy, you can understand the throaty-deep vocals, and it doesn't get boring. What more do I need?!3.5 greatMy Chemical Romance Three Cheers for Sweet RevengeThis is a pretty good album. It demonstrated MCR's ability to evolve, as a lot of bands do. I wouldn't really say this album has filler, but this album could have done without a few songs, such as "Hang 'Em High," "It's Not a Fashion Statement It's a Deathwish," and "I Never Told You Want I Do For A Living," and been a slightly better album altogether. If you don't like the MCR you hear on the radio, then I do not recommend even trying to like them. Either you do or you don't. Personally I really like MCR because I've seen them touring with Story of the Year before, and they have really evolved. Best for fans of drugs, alcohol, cemeteries, ghosts, and the dead.3.0 goodBetween the Buried and Me The Great MisdirectI really like this album, I do, and when you break it all apart there is really some masterful instrumental playing going on here. I have given this album many listens, and this is the breakthrough BTBAM album for me. I like listening to this album alone, but it is hard to turn the volume up and get others to fall in love with this band on the first play. I blame the overly-harsh vocals somewhat nonsensical literary themes within the lyrics. I wouldn't necessarily change the way this album was made--it's a good album--but I just wish there was more information on what this album was trying to be.2.5 averageBreaking Benjamin Dear AgonyBreaking Benjamin aren't necessarily bad at making music. Many of their songs really are a joy to hear on occassion, however the album "Dear Agony" in general is really quite bland. I'm sure there are occassions or instances in people's lives where this album will cheer them up, but really all of the themes lyrically involve lead singer Benjamin Burnley calling out to a mysterious "someone" (which we will assume female). This whole album comes across as Alternative Metal with real Emo sprinkles.
