For My Opinion of the Album i Think it is an Excellent Album for In Flames Albums,Melodic Death Metal Albums and Music In General.It has Many Intresting Themes in it and the song writing lyrically and Instrumentally are Excellently done.To Start,It is an Exceptional In Flames Album for how they presented the Album and the Themes on it, and the Musicianshipt. It is also a Crucial album to thier next Step in thier melodic death metal career:Colony.The Whoracle Album and Concept was Created By Niklas Sundin(Dark Tranquility and of course the Frontman of In Flames Anders Friden.Same Credit goes for Lyrics.The Theme of Whoracle is a Concept Album Which Tells about the Past,Present and the Hypothetical Future of Earth and Mankind.IMO It Seems to also have the Futuristic Feel to it Which isn't noticed but is incorporated into Future in flames albums hidden under the basic meanings or messages of thier songs,therefore making Whoracle the starting point for that idea or writing,perhaps even The Jester Race,but my point remains if that is so.The Album Contains 11 Tracks and Starts With Jotun(Pronounced Yo-tun it's Norse,A Reference To the Gods of that part of Mythology),Which The song is Essentially about Foreshadowing The Premises of a Soceity(Perhaps Future)Crushed and Broken after an Apocolyptic Event.I think the song itself is Peforme well and put together great to,it is my least favorite on the album as well.Food for the Gods Obviously,Making a Refference to the Gods and has great Drumming and a guitar riff to support Anders Death Growls and The Chorus which is well done for the Song.Gyroscope is More of a Ballad for in flames and the concept behind it is,How Mankind Fails over and over repeating it's mistakes.You'll pick that up from the song's lyrics if you listen to it.The Intro of the song opens up by a melodic acoustic riff complemented by the drums,and goes into a melodic death metal riff with Electric Guitars.Lyrically Excelletn anda very enjoyable MDM Track for any MDM Fan.Dialogue With The Stars is an Instrumental That Progresses the album along and teh guitar riffs are very flowing and clear with Bridges of Acoustic Riffs.An Enjoable 3 minute Instrumental.The Hive,This is a very well-written song.1st Off,The Idea is of a technologically advanced soceity which is Demolished by Human Nature.(See i knew it had some Future idea to it=)).that's it lyrically-wise but the riffs are great and has an amzing solo in it probably the best solo on the album in my opinion. The 6th Track Jester Script Transfigured has the same themes as the hive and is well written as well,containing a slower pace then then the hive.Morphing into Primal the next track is strongly debated on what the song means but it's the fastest song on the album, with very intresting lyrics,Perceive it however you like.Episode 666 helping the albums concept alogn and becoming a well-known in flames song is great.the premise of it is,NOT SATANIC,it is actually a Narration of the apocalyptic even via television.it is great and in the middle of the song has a mini-epic melo death solomcomplemented by an epic growl by anders.next song,is Everything Counts a Depeche mode Cover which is essentially a metal version of the depeche mode song everything counts,the idea ia obviously the same of depeche mode but in relevancy to the album implys the folly of those in the Soceity who built then destroyed thier world realized thier folly adn how it was too late to stop it it,finally the last track is an instrumental which only has a girl as background vocals and excllent drumming and acoustic strumming throught it,somehow relating to teh album concept i feel.It's a great Melodic death metal album because it has many MDM elements MDM fans seek.and Finnally it's a great album for music overall because of Thought, work and orginality put into the album.The Musicianship,the clarity of ideas an the expression via music.my opinion 4.5,Feel Free to give me Feedback.By the way,Bjorn Geolotte was the Drummer for this album,and Jesper Stromband was still in teh band at the time.
