I like it better than Meshuggah. It's ten times as deranged, ten times more jazzy.

Fucking amazing, very groovy. I was hooked on 'Sick Boogie Murder' and went from there. You will not be disappointed by the freshest listening experience in a long time.

4.0 excellent
Devin Townsend Ziltoid the Omniscient
Faith No More The Real Thing
Ihsahn Eremita
Meshuggah obZen
Om Variations on a Theme
Opeth Deliverance
Opeth Heritage
It's a very ambitious attempt to make pure prog music. It utilises the eclectic song structures of the '70s, chucks in influence from obscure bands and uses analog production. rIt isn't perfect. It is slightly listener-unfriendly, but I hope that Opeth continue this style in order to perfect it.
Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet

3.5 great
Ayreon Into the Electric Castle
Ayreon 01011001
Devin Townsend Project Addicted
Mastodon The Hunter
Om Pilgrimage
Opeth Watershed
Strapping Young Lad The New Black

3.0 good
Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn of Events
Full of nu-metal riffs, wanking galore and Mustaine-esque vocals. There are lots of good parts to be sure, but it's no improvement on the last two records.
Storm Corrosion Storm Corrosion

2.0 poor
Morbid Angel Illud Divinum Insanus
If you want to release a Marylin Manson ripoff mixed with German EBM, don't do it under the Morbid Angel.

1.0 awful
Cryptopsy The Unspoken King
