Sonically the sound and type of song structure is the same as Jokes and some of the other splits they have done. They have found a sound that works for them. Maturing and progress doesn't come from revamping your sound every album every time. The progress here is shown in the recording qualities and the vocal work. The vocal work sounds more similar to that of the Goldie Hawn EP than that of Jokes. The drumming is as technical as ever. The guitar playing is intricate and very well thought out. The recordings came out clearer and mastered in higher quality than that of Jokes. Love this album.
